You owe this to yourself... and Megatron...

So you've gone and gotten yourself a Masterpiece Megatron, have you? That's all well and good, but isn't there something... missing? Sure, he already comes with a scope/arm cannon. And he comes with the flail he used in the first story arc, and the sword and pistol he fought Prime with in the 1987 movie. He even comes with Kremzeek, the creation you wish you could forget. But it doesn't seem like enough. That's where this comes in.

In gun mode, this kit completes the package by adding a stock and silencer to the pistol and scope the figure already comes with. This is a throwback to the original release of the Megatron toy in 1984. As with the '84 version, this up-scaled package reconfigures into a separate cannon for Megatron to operate. There's also a configuration that attaches to Megatron in robot mode. It's a bit unstable, but quite imposing.

As an added bonus, the cannon modes really fire! The kit comes with eight hard plastic bullets that shoot far and fast. I'd make sure your pets were out of the way before firing...

Here are the downsides, because there can only be so much perfection in one place. First, the die-cast replacement plates for Megatron's legs are a bit much for the ball joints to handle, so they come out of place easily and look a bit flimsy in robot mode. Also, the silencer is a bit loose when attached to the gun barrel. It's even looser if your Megatron has an orange cap in the barrel. Without the cap, it still holds together well enough.

That said, the pros far outweigh the cons. If you're a hardcore enough Transformers fan to have picked up Masterpiece Megatron, then you owe it to yourself and Megatron to "complete" the package with these fantastic accessories. The full gun mode is really impressive and the cannon is just plain fun. Highly recommended!

A Must-Have if You Own MP-05!

Simply put, if you have MP-05 Megatron, you should really do yourself a favor and get this. It's very easy to figure out and comes with a little paper sheet that shows how everything fits together. The only thing you need to do is replace the side leg panels of MP-05 with the two metal ones that come with this kit. I like it personally because it adds more diecast metal to MP-05, which is something that it was definitely lacking.

Also, when MP-05 is not in gun mode you can have these be a sort of plasma cannon (as shown in the picture on the box) for purposes of poseability and such.

They will probably make a "full" Masterpiece Megatron at some point, similar to MP-04 (the full Optimus Prime) and MP-01 (the first release of Optimus, which lacked the trailer). If you went ahead and got the MP-05 version, go ahead and get this to complete your Masterpiece Megatron!

MP5 Upgrade Package, features replica extensions, which transform into Megatron's Particle Beam Cannon. The upgrade package also includes two new black leg plates, which will replace MP Megatron's present leg plates. The leg plates are rumored to be made of die-cast metal to give the figure a more weighted feel. The leg plates also feature a tweaked mold which allows the stock extension to attach in gun mode.
