Iomega eGo Rugged Portable Hard Drive

The drive works just fine. I was hoping that it was a little smaller and lighter than it is. It looks good, but the finish on it is quite slick so that it slides easily. This could make it easy to accidentally drop.

This portable hard drive is just that....has small footprint, rugged construction, good capacity, and flawless to use. Just what you need to transport those text, data, or image files anywhere you need them.

Great for home or personal backups

I bought this for backup purposes. Easy to use and install. Was recognized instantly by all the computers I plugged it to (2 pcs, 1 laptop and a camera through the laptop) and sent all my info into it fairly fast.
At the time I bought this, I researched and it happened to be at a fairly good price. Unfortunately about 2 or 3 weeks later I saw a double-the-size brand HDD for about 10 bucks more. Don't know if it was a special offer or if it became a regular price so shop around first. This is still more than enough to cover my needs.
