i love fountain pens

These came quickly and were what was promised. I enjoy using them; we'll see how long they last, but they've been great so far.

Pretty Cool

Functions just like the real thing, weighs less which can take some getting use to but the different color choices are pretty cool. It'll be odd to toss the pen after it's empty though. lol Writes pretty smoothly and doesn't bleed through, dries pretty quickly. They aren't very durable so you could end up with an ink flood if you put them in a backpack or luggage.

Great pen for general use and experiments

I use fountain pens all the time and these are really great pens.

They write immediately after long storage and the nibs don't dry out when left uncapped as one is thinking/listening to lectures. With other fountain pens, one must often cap the pen to prevent ink evaporation at the nib.

When the ink finally runs out, don't throw the pen away!

The nib can be used to replace a spoilt nib of Pilot Petit or another similar working pen that has been dropped. Just pull the nib out with a pair of pliers and slide it into the other pen. If too tight, loosen the nib edges with a small screwdriver.

You can even refill the pen with your favourite fountain pen ink (Pelikan, Quink, etc), water colour inks (Ecoline), using a method described here with a syringe and possibly some white plumber's tape to get a good seal.

If you find the pen a little too long for some reason, cut off about 1" from the back using a small tube cutter and have your very own inexpensive mini pen. Just be sure not to cut into the barrel that holds ink!

wonderful writing instruments

These pens have been a blessing....I love a good writing instrument and do calligraphy as well. These are disposable so I do not have to worry about refills. The variety of colors is just what I need. I cannot purchase the variety pack locally so I was very happy to see them here. Even Pilot does not offer them at such a great price.

Finally, a non-drip fountain pen!

After over 50 years of having multi-colored hands from leaky fountain pens, I have discovered these wonderful Pilot Varsity Disposable Fountain Pens! What a delight for those of us who only write with fountain pens! And, these pens come in a rainbow of colors. Each pen is very comfortable to use, always writes smoothly, and never needs to be refilled - no more rubber gloves and many bottles of ink. The medium nibs definitely make a statement, and the pens never skip. I know that they also come in packs of all navy blue or black, but I love the bright colors in the assorted pack, which match any card I need to write. Pilot has a pack of winners here!
