Too many guitar solos?????

Reminds me of the movie Amadeus when a critic of Mozart stated that a particular piece had "too many notes".....

What might have been. . .

Imagine that Blind Faith had continued. This DVD gives you some idea of what might have been. No real surprises but a solid satisfying performance that really gets you thinking what they might have been able to do at the height of their powers. I do not understand the complaint about SW's guitar playing which I quite enjoyed. The musicianship is all around excellent.

While I did notice an occassional sync issue I have no problems with the audio although I opted for stereo rather than 5.1 on the audio selection. The hi def video is generally pretty good if not particularly creative.

While I agree that the song selection is not particularly inspired, keep in mind that there is a lot of music here to chose from. This is a two disc CD set.

A worthwhile addition to the collection.

The Real sound of Superstars Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood

My review of Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood's DVD of their concert at Madison Square is simple and short, I love the package. The sound is just right, no frills, the mix was honest to goodness, as if I was there watching the show itself. The camera work showcasing both stars is spot on. The music is quite stellar, too - great supporting by the bass player, drummer and keyboard player. I love this DVD as it is about the artists and their talent and songs, not some showbusiness type mockery of the music.

This is one of the best concerts ever. Both of these musicians are the best at what they do. To see them together again was great. Their music and talent is tremendous.
