great machine

Very happy with this machine. Haven't tried all the recipes, but the ones I have tried have come out great. It's easy to clean.

Lopsided Loaves

Overall I'm very pleased with the way this machine functions, but my loaves tend to come out lopsided. It's a minor issue. They're perfectly edible, but not so great for sandwich making. I've found this can be easily dealt with by shaping the loaf by hand after the final knead cycle. You can also remove the paddles after the final knead so the bread will have smaller indentations in the bottom and come out of the pan easier. Of course this defeats the purpose of it being fully automatic, but if you're home when the bread is being made it's worth the extra effort. On the Basic Cycle I usually use, for a 1 to 1.5 loaf the time to completion of the final kneading cycle is 53 minutes. I uploaded an image of the bread time chart (http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B002JM0ZWK/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_all) I obtained from the manufacturer's site since it's not included in the manual. I hope you find it useful. I'm thinking about making meatloaf in the machine. Advice and recipes would be appreciated.

Great quality bread machine

I had never used a bread machine (or baked bread at all) before, and was looking for something that was easy to use and works well consistently. The instruction booklet that comes with the machine is thorough and easy to follow, and includes several great recipes. It is very straightforward to use the machine - add the ingredients, push about three buttons, and you're good to go. I have made at least 10-15 loaves so far (a few different varieties - Italian, French, whole wheat, etc), and all have turned out perfectly. There is a pretty comprehensive troubleshooting section in the booklet, but I have not had any issues so I haven't had to use it yet. This machine is a great price and has not disappointed.

One of my favorite things!

I bought this bread machine in May and I have made dozens of loaves of bread, only had one flop and that was my fault. I love that this machine has two paddles and makes the bread in a horizontal loaf. Motor is strong and can handle heavy doughs. I read all the reviews before I purchased this machine and was concerned with the reviews about the coating coming off the pan. It clearly states in the instructions not to put this pan in the dishwasher, not sure if that was the problem for the folks that had a coating problem, My coating finish is perfect except for a scratch that I caused. Also the reviews for the strong odor. I didn't have any problem with that either. I ran the machine through a bake cycle as it says to do in the instructions. Sometimes one of the paddles will stay in the bread and that handy little gadget they send with machine pulls it right out. Also occasionally I have had a little trouble getting a paddle out of the pan, but a soak in soapy hot water solves that. I have absolutely no complaints about this machine. My co-workers are calling me the "bread Lady" as I am always trying new recipes and taking my creations to work to share. I love this machine! Highly recommend this, super easy to use and the bread is so awesome!
