Easy to Use labels

As a happy user of Avery Address Labels for a long time, I had no idea that 3M had an equivalent product. So, I was happy to have a chance to try out the new 3M Address Labels.

The free Avery software available on their site has templates that seem to match all of the available label formats. For the 3M 3300-A, I used the Avery 5260 template for laser printers. This is the same as the 5160 template for ink jet printers. I designed return address labels.

A test run on my printer using plain paper produced a beautiful matrix of labels. The only problem was to find out which side of the label stock had to be up. I can never remember. It turned out that putting the labels in face down was the proper choice. After an up/down test, I had my sheets of labels printed in no time.

The printing was dark, clear, and without smudging. The labels peeled off their backing easily and appear to stick well to envelopes. They have my recommendation.

Great...easy to use!

These are great address labels...easy to format and easy to peel off once printed. They can be used for either laser or ink-jet, which is really nice.

Excellent performance.

Have had excellent results printing these using [...] v.3.2.1 (choosing the "Avery 5160" label template) on my wide-format Epson Stylus Photo 1280 inkjet printer. Only caveat with this printer -- and this may not be true on your printer -- is that one must choose the "maximum" option for page size in the print options so as not to cut off the printing on the lower-most row of labels.

Great results with ink-jet on these, even though they're marketed for laser.

Good quality label--easy to use--no fuss

It's a label, but...

3M makes great labels. These work extremely well in your printer and don't jam. They remove easily from their backing without tearing, and stick VERY well. They are **not** removable. Once they are on, they are not going anywhere, short of tearing them. Don't waste your time and money on generic labels. You end up paying the price when you go to use them and they jam up in your printer, or tear after you have printed them and are trying to peel them off the backing paper.

I haven't had any problems with ink smudging on these, but I don't know if they have some kind of special coating. yeah, it's a label, but it really is a good label. As always, thanks for reading.

As good as Avery in my printer

I find these labels to be as good as Avery in my printer. Clarity of laser print and bright white background make these an excellent choice. Generous print space in this size. Adhesive is strong so place them carefully if you don't want to send them crooked!
