Love the new iPod nano

Like many of you, I read the reviews on products before I purchase. The reviews on this product seemed mixed for the most part but the negative arguments (no camera, no video, no click wheel) were not very persuasive. I'm not sure who would want to view videos or take pictures with something that has a screen this small or even on the 5th generation model, that's what the iPhone and iTouch are for. This suits my needs just fine. A music player I can use at the gym or take with me to work when I want to listen to the radio. The clip stays in place and I love the fact that the screen can be rotated. Battery life is also decent and it charges pretty quickly. The only negative complaint I have is that the radio signal does not work when you are at lower levels (for e.g. my gym is 3 levels down). Other than that I love my new nano. Beats the previous model I had by miles.

6th Gen. iPOD nano sound too low issue

This 6th generation 16GB iPOD nano's sound is too low, specially compared with my another 4th generation 16GB iPOD nano.
I don't know whether this 6th Gen. iPOD nano can further adjust higher volume, it looks this was hardware restriction.
I put same speech files into 4th and 6th generation iPOD, both set to highest volume, but 6th generation volume showed low sound.

New nano does music well

I wanted something that just played music, mostly from my own CD's, and this 6th generation iPod nano is just what I needed. It works fine, sounds good, and is easy to clip on or slip in my shirt pocket. The reasons I didn't give it a five-star rating are two. First, the ear buds are not very good, and don't fit my ears. I use "real" headphones instead, which sound much better and feel more comfortable. Second, iTunes is a pain for me. It is much too restrictive and I would really like to use some other software to interact with the iPod, especially since I use it for music that I already own. I have searched for third-party software, but have not found any that supports the 6th generation model. Despite that fact that Apple is still a control-freak company, I think this is a very good product.

Apple iPod Nano 16 GB 6th generation

What a fantastic product! This is only my second Apple product ever (bought the iPad several months ago). Had no idea what I was missing (until now). Has really good sound quality. Perfect for the gym.

New Nano Not Great

I bought the newest Nano for my husband because his older one was stolen. He had an 8GB 3rd generation Nano before, so I figured this would be a great improvement. I was wrong. It doesn't completely cut off, so the battery is depleted pretty quickly...even when he's not using it. Also, I'm guessing because it won't turn off, you can't adjust how long the back light stays on. He has to constantly touch the screen to see what song is playing. His biggest problem is that he can't play games on it. Though why he would want to on that little screen, I don't know. It's also disconcerting to read so many threads in the forum on Apple about how many times people have had to replace their new iPod. All in all, I won't say it was a bad buy. It does the most important thing: play music. It's just hard to adjust to something that's supposed to be better but doesn't have all the bells and whistles you're used to.
