highly recommended

Good for traveling, but not for everyday use

I bought this little razor specifically for traveling and I have not been disappointed. It is very well made and seems to run a long time on one set of AA batteries.

The design is smart in that 1) the delicate foil is protected by a intergrated cover that cannot fall off or be lost and 2) the switch cannot accidentally be turned on if the cover is in place. With other travel razors I have had, the foil got damaged inside my toilet case when the cover fell off and/or the switch came on accidentally and the batteries got used up.

This razor provides a good smooth shave and the nice pop out trimmer takes care of the longer hairs that the foil cannot get as the other reviewers have mentioned.

As nice as this razor is, though, I would not use it for everyday shaving because it runs off AA batteries and it takes me longer to shave with this razor than it does with my normal electric razor.

Great Shaver

I work out of town and travel every week. I have a Braun 7 series electric razor that I use in the mornings, I shave with a blade at night. When I saw this little razor, I thought I would give it a try and see how it works, to keep my big razor from wear of the road. So far it shaves as close as the big Braun razor does. I have no complaints with this mobile shaver at all, and you can't beat the price, it's a steal.

A Very Close Shave

This item is great for when you have that little bit of morning stubble. It takes absolutely everything off and leaves a nice smooth feeling. Cleaning is also easy, just rinse the entire head under running water while it is on and then remove cap and clean the row of razors with the small cleaning device that is attached on the bottom of it. The entire shaver is very cool and sleek, great design!

The only flaw is that if you wait too long to use this, and you get hairs that are more than 2mm long, that is where the shaver suffers. It will only get a little more than half of those longer hairs. You can use a regular razor for those hairs though and then go back to this shaver as they come back the next day.

There is also a small trimmer on the side of the shaver (see picture) that is great for cutting long hairs. It is so small though that I'm afraid I might break it when I try to force it out of the side and back in when I am done with it.

Great Value, Mobile Razor, Not for Daily Use

If you're looking for a razor to use everyday then this is not for you. You really need to go spend some more money and buy a better unit. But if you're looking for a razor that you can keep in the car and use in "emergency situations", this thing is pretty great. It runs on regular batteries, so you don't have to worry about it being charged.

It does a pretty decent job too - not like my at home Braun unit, but it gets pretty close (some spots require a few extra passes) and it may occasionally "bite" on longer hairs. But it's saved me a few times when I thought I didn't have to shave, but then remembered about a meeting I had previously forgotten about.

Something all Men can Use

The other reviews sum it up with a 4 plus rating . This is very well engineered IMHO for a $25 electronic item . I have a really tough beard that doesnt grow even . I just received this and shaved two days growth off .Iit did help to have a mirror around otherwise its difficuilt to know what your accomplishing as it takes multiple passes its not a blade shave .

Heres another tip if its giving you trouble or snagging put it under a facuet and rinse out the stubble then use it wet and it will lubericate a tad . You dont need a case though I can see in time you might loose the brush without one . The foil protector when its closed ,to protect ,keeps the units on off switch on - Off saving from a possible problem there . The sideburn mustache trimmer is pretty hard to use but it does work . All and all it is a backup shaver for the car or suitcase . This is perfect for touch up before a dinner date straight from the office or when you need something that can pass carry on requirements . I am very pleased . I will be using Sanyo Enuloop batteries too . I usually use a Mach 3 blade and I felt this was more work but did as good a job as long as I was near water . If I wasnt I just needed to be more patient and whipe my face clean with a hanky after using it . Dont be afraid to purchase it this is a quality piece the worst that will happen is you wont repurchase . I cant believe I showed up at meetings with stubble for years not having one .I would say its as good a shave as most medium priced ($30-$60)electric corded shavers . Live and learn .
