I became a fan of Mansell a while ago and find all her books really refreshing. British humor is great but not for everybody. I was not dissapointed with RumorHas It. Would recommend it to anybody who wants to read a good chick lit.
RumorHas It sizzles with Mansell's signature fresh sense of humor, poignancy, and happy ending with a twist. Newly single Tilly Cole impulsively moves to a small town, only to find she's arrived in a hotbed of gossip, intrigue, and rampant rivalry for the most desirable man-Jack Lucas, whose reputation is beyond bad. Tilly has no intention of becoming another notch on his bedpost. But she finds the thoughtful, caring guy she comes to value as a friend doesn't seem to fit the town's playboy image. Should she listen to her friends or her heart? Is Tilly being mature and sensible-or running away from the love of her life?***Praise For Jill Mansell:" Mansell knows her craft and delivers a finely tuned romantic comedy." -Kirkus" A fast pace and fun writing make the story fly by." -Publishers Weekly" Chick-lit at its best and so well written." -Daily Mail" Pick this up at your peril: you won't get a thing done till it's finished." -Heat magazine" A romantic romp full of larger-than- life characters." -Express" A jaunty summer read." -Daily Mail" It's riotous." -New Woman" Classy chick-lit that appeals to women of all ages.
