Only used to once to install some pergo floors. Works great. Well worth the money and can save you a lot of time! If you do a lot of projects at home then do not hesitate....get it

I bought this tool to replace the 2 muti-tools i bought through harbor freight.they only cost me $40ea. I burned through two of them and three of their grout blades while trying to remove the grout in the tiles of my bath tub. I wasn't even able to finish two of the walls before the second one burned out.You get what you pay for. The Soni-crafter is leaps and bounds ahead of what I expected from my previous expirience with an inferior tool.Not only was I able to finish my bath/shower area in less than an hour,the included dust collecter attachment helped greatly reduce the amount of dust i had to clean up afterward.Using a cheap tool took me over half a day to do 1 and a half walls and 2 more trips to harbor freight to replace tool and buy 2 more grout blades.I finished with the one grout blade that comes with the Soni-crafter.I have also used this tool to do tile at work, with half inch grout lines(using same blade)!I use it to remove 3/4 inch thick rubber flooring with no strain on the tool.If you are looking to buy a multi-tool but don't have the money to spend on a Fein,I would highly recommend the Soni-crafter.I would stay away from cordless tools unless you didn't have access to an outlet.Dremel is ok,but has less power than the Rockwell.If your looking for fine performance without the Fein price,you will do very well with a Soni-crafter.

I wish they would offer an on-line video to show you how to install/use the tool and provide tips on using various blades.

Rockwell RK5107K

I have used the Rockwell SoniCrafter for the last 3 months on a remodel project. It became the goto tool for any problems that came up (need a 3 gang box instead of a 1). This week the variable speed dial became a single speed, only works on high speed.
Were it not for this problem I would have given it 5 stars. Now I will find out how good Rockwell customer service is.

A tool for everyone's home!

Overall this tool is great. You do have to have patience with it, but with patience come great cuts, smooth edges, and less mess.
I gave it a four stars, because it does not cut screws and nails like I thought it would or should.
I spent the extra bucks for this one instead of buying the lesser dremel and am happy.
I would recommend to a friend.
