I absolutely loved this book! I could not go to bed until I finished reading this! This is only about the third time in my life that this has happened.
SavingRachel by John Locke is written very well. I love how John Locke writes and speaks to the reader. This story has so many twists and turns. You will get caught off guard many times wondering where the author is going with the story.
Parts of the book actually remind me of the Saw movies. The scary, thrilling, anxiety and hopeful parts of saving a character.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes well-written stories with drama and suspense. This book is a real thriller!
John Locke's book "SavingRachel: A DonovanCreedNovel" is hot hot hot. This book starts at page one and doesn't let go. The twists, turns, plots, and shots, are jam packed into this short novel. Never has any book kept me so intrigued all night long until it was done. I started at seven and ended at twelve and never once moved from my seat. GREAT JOB. I cant wait to get my hands on more of John Locke's novels.
A great addition to the genre....
"SavingRachel" by John Locke is one in a series of books that falls under the collection "DonovanCreedCrimeNovel" series. Series in novels tend to pop up here and there nowadays. It's not uncommon to find the newest release on your "to-read" list as the opening to a series set to be drawn out over the coming years. This fact both thrills and irritates readers alike. We love reading an author's work when the story fits our mood, but hate the waiting game to know what happens next. Author John Locke has in fact created a series that while the characters carry on to the next book, each installment reaches a satisfactory "end" to wrap things up....a refreshing idea indeed. Add to this the great storyline, character set ups, and fast pace of the action....and you simply won't be able to put it down.
So whether you are looking for a quick mystery to get you started in the genre, or a small sample of a larger picture, this book will fit the bill. Read one, read them all....either way your in for a great read.
great thriller that makes the hairs stand on the back of your neck
This is another book in the DonovanCreed series and what a read it is. I actually had to stop a few times during my reading and think about what just happened. There is absolutely nothing predictable about this book and I am just glad it is a book and not something I have to live through.
If you love suspense, surprises and good old fashion thrillers with a portion of dark humor, this book is perfect for you. It maxes out all these things and leaves you turning the pages quicker and quicker to find out what really happened and how it will go on.
John Locke wrote a book that on its face requires a clear, if not easy, decision from the main character. But then, nothing turns out to be that clear nor do you really know who is making the decision nor whether it is really a decision or more a game play or fate at play. In this book, it is impossible to tell what will happen on the next page and each time that you dare to make a prediction, you soon enough find out that you were wrong (again) and that Locke has yet another plot twist in stock for you.
Reading this book will make you appreciate everyday life, if that really is what you experience because things can change quickly - just read this book to find out.
SavingRachel by John Locke should definitely become a movie. With all of the action and mystery that takes place it is sure to be a blockbuster hit!
The characters are well-developed. By the description you get a feel for what each one looks like and each one's personality.
The way this story is written is brilliant! The story really talks to the reader and makes the reader "feel" the characters especially when they are frightened.
Sam, the character, develops a very unique plan to get rich and everything in his life goes awry. You hope for Sam to get away from the police with all of the action that goes down right from the beginning. Then you hope for the people that are trapped (I won't tell too much) to be chosen to live. You get even more suprises during this time.
You are sure to enjoy reading this book and you will not want to put it down, in fact, you will not be ABLE to put it down.
