Not that filling, but so much fun

There's a natural human tendency to rubberneck to see a disaster, and with these disasters there's no guilt factor. They wouldn't be here if the cake owner didn't spread the word, and in a way sharing in their shock is a way of overcoming the pain. There are some gloriously bad confections in this collection and some real laugh out loud moments here. Can't say I loved it, but I liked it very much, and I've enjoyed sharing the hilarity. Ms. Yates has picked up a few fans from the people who have curiously pulled it out of my collection and thumbed through.

Very funny pictures, but the authors remarks are so funny, you get a double dose of laughter from each entry. Feeling blue? Buy this book, you are sure to cheer up :)))

This book is totally hilarious and has lots of new cakes that were not shown on the website. I laughed out loud numerous times.

Praying I never find one of my cakes in here.

I love making cakes and while I'm not a professional by any means, I've made hundreds of cakes for friends, neighbors, and friends of friends. While shopping for books for my husband I stumbled across this and had to order it. The day it arrived I had a splitting migraine, yet found myself laughing hysterically. If a book can make you laugh through a mind shattering migraine, it's a winner. Even my 10-year-old, who came in to see if mom had finally lost it, wound up sitting next to me giggling like a loon at the cakes with winning captions like "Huge Me".

As I said, I can only pray none of my friends will ever betray me and submit one of my cakes-gone-wrong behind my back.

Great gift item!!

I'm a big fan of the Cake Wrecks blog, so I'd already seen most of the cakes featured in this book. But this little book makes such a great gift! I have purchased two of them for my friends, and each time the book was a HUGE hit! The last friend I bought one for called to thank me a second time because she had gotten so many laughs from this book. I hope a second book will be out soon!
