Gillette Pro Glide

The shave with the Gillette Fusion Proglide is superior to the previous model, THe Gilette Fusion.

Close, comfortable shave but my $14 battery operated Braun works better!

Clean, close, comfortable shave but my $14 battery operated Braun (including batteries) travel shaver works as good or better. I'm not looking for a religious experience when I shave - just smooth skin without irritation, nicks or cuts. The Proglide gives a good but not superior result, and Gillette's instructions for an optimal shave require too much prep time. Also, Gillette hints that the razor may dull after 5 shaves. It does and the "special lubricating strip" wears out sooner. Frequent razor replacement in addition to the cost of a better quality shave cream is ridiculously expensive. I'll continue to use the Braun (which has a surprisingly good shave block) for daily shaving, and save the Proglide for trimming my sideburns and neckline where it excels.

Amazing new razor

I am beyond impressed with the new Proglide razor. I shave my head, face, chest, etc. and could easily tell that this razor has surpassed the original fusion in so many ways. First off, when I shave my head, I have an uncomfortable feeling (not painful, but unpleasant). While using the Proglide, the uncomfortableness was almost completely gone and it took less time to shave my head. My face has always been extremely sensitive so I was overjoyed when it was a painless breeze to shave my face and it has never been that smooth with minimal effort before.

Everywhere else was the same story: less strokes, less pain and better hydration from the strip. I find it amazing that the fusion was able to be improved so I am extremely happy about this.

You can usually find coupons in the Sunday paper to get these for next to nothing so you have nothing to lose!!

Best razor on the market today..PERIOD!!

I have been a long time user of the Gillette Manual Fusion Razor then I bought a ProGlide Power Razor about 2 weeks before it was actually released and all I can say is WOW...this razor is by far the best razor out there today, no doubt about it...This razor makes shaving a breeze and it does not drag across your face, nick or cut you in any way...it provides the closest shave you can possibly get without going into an "old-school" barber and getting a straight razor shave..Yes, the blades are expensive but you really do "Get What You Pay For" so if you want cheap blades then expect a lousy shave with cuts and knicks..if you want an extremely close and comfortable shave with minimal effort then this is the razor for you...I recommend getting the Power Razor as it really does make a difference while shaving and it does provide a closer shave than a manual razor..Also, get rid of that crap-in-a-can gel or foam and get yourself some natural cream that you lather with a badger brush (Truefitt & Hill, Proraso, etc) and you will really see this ProGlide Power come to life..A+++ razor that I will continue to use no matter the cost of the blades...Face it, us dudes have to shave daily (or almost daily) so why go cheap and tear up your face if you do not have to..
