VERY educational world history mag
When I was in elementary and junior high school, I thought learning about ancient civilizations was incredibly boring. But CALLIOPE presents information that actually makes world history interesting. The magazine's editors and writers make sure that readers understand how societies of long ago are making an impact in our lives right now. And that's worth learning about! The variety of topics ...
Home Education Magazine

Home Education Press
The first, the best
In 1990 I started homeschooling my three younger children and continued on until they received their high school diplomas in 1998. For all but two years of that time, all of it as a snail-mail-dependent, pre-overseas-Internet military family in Europe, my regular homeschooling support was Home Education Magazine. Although they didn't know it, the magazine's columnists and writers held my ...

Great Mag, buy from Pub.
Fantastic magazine. But buy it directly from the publisher. The subscription price is exactly what amazon is offering, anyway, and you'll get it a lot faster. We also bought two sets of a year's worth from eBay.

Home Life
best home school resource around
Back 15 years ago when I started homeschooling our oldest daughter, Mary Pride was my best mentor, thanks to her Practical Homeschooling magazine and the curriculum reviews in her Big Book series. Now with two home school graduates and five kids still plugging away at it, I still look to her for help as I face the new challenges that each unique child presents. Practical Homeschooling ...

Photos fantastic! Stories fun! Games, actitivites, folktales, illustrations by reknowned artists. Great for homeschoolers or in the classroom or just for fun. Especially good for reluctant ...

Great resource- better than many books on the subject
I am a pediatrician with 2 ADHD children. Although I have alot of technical knowledge on the subject, I have found this magazine extremely helpful in terms of suggestions for problem-solving day-to-day issues, and keeping things in perspective (if they discuss the same problems we're having in a magazine, then the challenges my kids face and my less-than-perfect parenting are not failures of ...

I Love This Magazine, oh - and so does my 11-year old!
My son received a gift subscription to this magazine two years ago, and each year since, he's asked for a renewal subscription. If he didn't get it himself, I would be sorely tempted to subscribe to it for myself. The articles are accessible to kids, but not so dumbed down to be condescending. Some of the articles I've copied out and given to whom-ever I can (and I mean adults) because they're ...

good mag
you can even submit your own stories into this richly unique tapestry of stories. At thirteen, I was published in it, and they pay very well. The subject matter suggests itself for more mature kids, I started reading it at twelve, and I love it.

A delightful magazine
Spider Magazine is a dream come true for the young gifted reader. The magazine is pitched for children ages six to nine. Strong independent readers may be ready for it earlier. Sample issues run to 33 pages, plus each has an additional pullout paper craft. There is a lot of writing packed into this little mag and the very youngest subscribers might prefer to have Mom, Dad, or big sister share ...

Good for Learning and Fun
Appleseeds is a bright, colorful magazine that does more than just entertain. It goes topic by topic to teach young kids (ages seven to nine) about various aspects of life, history, and culture. It has folk tales and fun activities that go with each activity and I love to give it to all my young relatives to encourage their curiosity about the world.

A True Teacher's Helper
A teacher at the primary level is inundated with wonderful teaching material. Many times, however, a teacher in the primary classroom needs a quick activity that needs very little prep time. Teacher's Helper serves this purpose wonderfully! An excellent source when preparing for a substitute. I have found every issue to be filled with seasonal projects and skill review pages that are ...

Perfect for 1st-3rd graders to read before , during and after Mass.
Great magazine for young children to bring with them to Mass. Our seven year old enjoys reading the liturgy of the Word ahead of time, and then reading along during Mass. The activities and puzzles are enjoyable and apply to the readings.

Thomas and Friends is a fun magazine.
I am four years old (almost five) and my Daddy is helping to type this for me. I like the mazes the most. I also like to color in the boxes and answer the math questions. I think other kids would like this magazine too.

Black Collegian Magazine
Great Magazine!
I used to read this magazine when I was in college at the University of Arizona 1980-1984. So happy to see it still exists. Am getting a subscription for my daughters and our church friends so other youth can benefit from the timely information BC offers. There are great articles on preparing for the job market. I encourage high schools, middle schools, public libraries, and pediatric offices ...

Great variety of articles, written in down-to-earth style
Grit is one of my favorite bimonthly country living magazines. It's a magazine that celebrates the rural community. There are always a wonderful variety of articles. Just some of the article subjects are on gardening, fruit growing, food preservation, farm lifestyle, tips on farming & animal caretaking, cooking and short stories. One of my favorite sections of Grit is the 'Looking For...' ...
