Great Trance With Vocals!!!
Everyone has there taste when it comes to music. Some like hard trance, some like vocal and so on. Personally I love nice trance with vocals. If your trance taste is vocals, then I say add this album to your collection. You won't be sorry. The other hater's should admit that they don't prefer vocal trance. I think Justine Suissa is a great talent a I look forward to hearing more from her in ...

good for thinking and writing
I have loved this album for years... and just bought it on CD. It has been great to listen to while I am writing in a noisy library.

Breathtakingly beautiful with substance
This music is fantastic for relieving stress, meditation, or soothing a hyper child. It isn't important to analytically listen to this music but simply let it wash over you and let the picture show within your mind begin. However, it was a pleasant surprise to discover a deeper level to what is going on with this music. (I confess that I am a classically trained composer, too.) I was ...

Beautiful and Terrifying
I cannot imagine not liking this album. It is timeless, gorgeous, eerie, and haunting, almost not there, but definitely there, everywhere, omnipresent in its tone. When I first got this, I put it on for my one-year-old son as he fell asleep, thinking it was peaceful and relaxing. Ten minutes later, I was in his room, and he was sobbing, crying that the music was "too scary," that there ...

Love It!!!
I just received my copy of Steve Roach's Sigh Of Ages, and I have already listened to it three times!!! I love all of Steve Roach's musical experiences, but there is something that seems to be speaking to me on this. The track entitled Morning of Ages has particularly caught my ear as it is one of my favorite Steve Roach musical journeys. I am anxious to listen to this cd several more times, to ...

Essential, this is one everyone should own.
This is the kind of mellow, ambient music that is perfect for a mood. I like it when I edit. It's great background music when you're busy doing something else but want a mellow environment. It's also good for sleeping too. Although I would suggest importing the CD, and picking out a select list to listen to while sleeping. Some of the songs have a soft, creepy undertone that is not conducive ...

Aural bliss!
I actually like this better than Ambient 1: Music for Airports. The Eno/Budd partnership is just brilliant and this (along with The Pearl) is a perfect CD to unwind the day with. I love this CD!

still great after a year!
I have had this CD for a year now- I use it for stress reduction, but it is also great for pain control- put it on, do some imagery(usually a beach for me), and it works as well as painkillers for my tension headaches.

Projekt Records, 2010
"Gateway is another great CD of heroic electronic orchestrations and meticulous guitar melodies from Erik Wollo, a Norwegian architect of atmosphere His music is pristine, but sears the air with its intensity." - John Diliberto, Echoes Radio. Projekt is proud to announce the signing of noted Norwegian electronic / ambient guitarist, synthesist and composer Erik Wøllo. Since the mid-80s, Wøllo has released a string of mesmerizingly melodic ...

Rediscover this highly influential album
"Selected Ambient Works 85-92" is one of those rare albums where a composer provides clear evidence that he or she is in that special class of artistic genius where true originality is possible. I'm not suggesting that this is Aphex Twin's best album, as best work was yet to come; nor am I suggesting that this is one of the greatest electronic albums of all time. Perhaps it is, but the key is ...

Perhaps his defining moment...
Having already described Tangerine Dream's "Zeit" album as 'the great-granddaddy of all dark ambient albums," I'll simply describe this one as the album without which other releases in the genre would have been impossible - and impossible to supersede as well! Eno's manifold talents as a musician, artist and producer all come to the fore in one ineffable piece of work here. As others have ...

My favorite Eno album
Buy this for just the first song alone ("Discreet Music"). Over 30 min in length, it is a wonderfully understated song. I can listen to it a dozen times and it still is capturing. The other songs are almost as good but they pale in comparison.

Steve Roach

'Dynamic Stillness' is yet another stunning Steve Roach release...and not to be missed whatsoever.
Ohh...this is brilliant ambience. Just when you thought 'Mystic Chords' or 'Arc of Passion' or the 'Immersion 1-4 Series' had enough to keep your Ambient library full and satisfied for a few months more yet, along comes 'Dynamic Stillness' to blast your soul into a hyper-real, long, smooth, tunnelling vortex of georgeous, lush, wintry, and yet ever so subtle drifting expanses of cool, soothing, ...

new age/space music prime choice
Kerala Dream is a very special album of space music, akin to that heard on NPR's "Music From the Hearts of Space". The last cut, "Samadhi", is especially fine and contemplative, with a subtle sitar creating soothing melodies and a calming mood. Some of the songs have flute and bass. This album has a variety of sounds, from environmental sounds from India, to vocals and sounds from the Amazon. ...

...bathing in thousands of bright tones...
Stunning! I don't agree with the people who claim this is the weakest album in the Ambient series. I find this one to be so utterly beautiful and exciting. Day of Radiance is such an appropriate name for this album. Laraaji has a way of constructing complex and fast melodies that yet retain a remarkable sense of space. Melodies within melodies. Higly recommended!

Moody
Although I haven't got this CD yet, (I am ordering it today) based on listening samples I can say that at least 6 tracks could be OK with me. Based on Torch Song which I purchased a while ago, his style is "moody" to say the least. His compositions are none alike each other, styles are blended.. I would say upon the moods of the moment. Which I find it very OK. I only picked 6 tracks from that ...

If you enjoyed the masterful magnificent void, by Roach, you will love this. Roach is quite possibly, along with Stearns, the greatest composer of ambient and or space music the U.S. has produced. If you love deep space, buy this.

phenominal
Dear GOD, this is a great album. Every piece is choice. Every note is perfect. The sounds she makes with her strings are mind boggling. Read this, my mind is boggled. Awdbfbwqiuwiwjikdsfbjf! I gave this album away, because I love it, but I have a station devoted to her works and similar artists. If you like classical, postrock, chamber rock, elfman, P.Glass, anything along those lines, even if ...
