Best R&b singer
I met Usher with his 2nd album My Way in 1997 and from that time to today he is still my best singer and his song Nice&Slow is my best song ever.I got this album this year to hear his performance in a live concert and i'm pleased with this one too and he showed everyone that he is not only a studio singer he can do the same job in live action. He dances so well and sings incredible but he ...

LOVED IT! One of the best!
I didnt understand why "Here I Stand" didn't do well. I loved all of the songs. This album is one of those rare albums where you don't skip any tracks and just let it play. The only song I skip is "Prayer for you" but its just an interlude and its dedicated to his sons. BUT BUY IT!!! YOU WQNT BE DISAPPOINTED. I think people were just hating on his new marriage lifestyle and that made their ...

Stunningly Original
"Little Songs," Usher's 1998 solo set, was brilliant with its care for arrangement, melody, and lyrical depth. "Morning Orbit" comes in a bit less dark, but equally compelling. "How Are You" opens with layered keyboard, guitar and multi-tracked backing vocals on this musically cheerful, lyrically dark track, "Had a vision of the ruby sky, we were riding high on our own pink elephant, another ...

Usher's first album was truly a sign of things to come
This is one of my favorite Usher albums. Usher projects a soulful voice that marks an artist well beyond his years. This effort is proof of things to come... for anyone who can remember his "Think of You" video, he was already dancing his butt off, and for those who know "Can You Get Wit it" and " The Many Ways" the path of R&B crooner was laid. This album has great uptempos, but boasts more mid ...

I know I'm late but I love this CD
I paid Usher no attention until recently with his upcoming CD "Raymond V Raymond". Ever since then, I have bought all of his old stuff including this CD. I love this CD! I know it's older but it doesn't sound outdated or anything. There's alot of fun tracks on it. So I would recommend it. I can't wait to buy his new CD this Tuesday :)

Much Better Than "Here I Stand"
I didn't have very high hopes for this CD because after listening to "Here I Stand," I pretty much gave up of ever wanting to listen to Usher again. Thankfully, my husband is a fan so during a four hour road trip, we popped this CD in and after just one listen of the entire CD, I am so happy Usher is back with his signature sound. I was sure there would be only one or two really good songs but ...

Sophmore Album From R&B superstar
I initially thought Usher would be another causality in the game of R&B but he came back onto the scene hard with his My Way CD. The lead single U Make Me Wanna didn't really impress me much but his follow up Nice & Slow is the song where I finally gave Mr. Raymond his props. Usher is the strongest at ballads which is ever evident on this CD with Nice & Slow, Bedtime, his cover of Slow Jam and ...

Usher - Confessions
Usher really out did himself on this one. Sometimes I wonder if he even knew how big of an album he created. Not since Thriller, has there been a album that combines the popularity & quality that Confessions does. Usher created a modern day classic. And not to take anything away from Usher, because i have always been a big Usher fan, but honestly of all the R&B singers that were out and popular ...

let me just say that I love porn
These cats are mad ill. They have a Gang Starr/Reflection Eternal/ High & Mighty, type of group, ie. one is a producer, Mr. Jason, and the other is the MC, Nabo Rawk. There are 10 tracks on this album and they are all dope. I accidentally left it in my friends car one day & he came up to me like "Yo that is dope, I have to buy that". Illest joints are "Girls Sweat Me", "Far Out", "Balloon ...

this was a tight cut back in 04
I was hit&miss with his Album, but "Confessions" part 2 was the cut. I wasn't feeling the other re-mix,but this cut was on point. very honest track. it was cool. Usher got robbed that year at the grammys. this is tight cut. just tell your chick you got a baby with another chick. real smooth. what's the Problem?

Great CD
This Import is better than the US version, as it includes the single Pop Ya Collar which, surprisingly didn't do well in the US. The import also includes TTP, another great song left off the US CD and Separated, which could have been left off the album. Apart from Can U Help Me and How Do I Say (two soppy ballads from Jam and Lewis), every song on this album could be a hit single. The obvious ...

some house mixes--one edited!!!
Aside from the album version and a mix of the album version with a little extra something from Fabolous, you get two house mixes. The Bimbo Jones mix is the edit, not the full length version. This mix is more commercial house and not as slammin' as the second, longer house mix, the Delinquent mix. Well worth having for the remixes. i just don't understand why they always have to put an edit of ...
My Way/8701
Usher
Sony Bmg Europe, 2008
This 2 CD set features the 1997 album My Way and the 2001 album 8701. 8701 represents the year Usher began exploring the world of music ('87) and the place where music brought him by the time of this recording ('01). He starts thing out in grand style with the romantic 'U Remind Me'. 'I Don't Know' takes a hip-hop turn with a contribution from P. Diddy (that's Puff Daddy for those of you arriving late), but Usher is quick to point out that he's ...

Urgent Music
David Usher's 3rd solo CD builds on his previous two releases and is simply some of the most moving, brilliant music you will hear. Although darker and a bit more of a spark plug, it's Rufus Wainwright that he increasingly reminds me of with his experiment with melody and diverse instrumentation on the arrangements. On the opening title track he sings, "Standing on the top looking down, thought ...
