Sound Medicine
Originally I purchased this CD for relaxation, balance and healing. However I found it relaxes me so much I fall asleep. So now I turn it on before retiring for the night. I'm not certain I've ever heard the entire CD. It really helps me feel more at peace and very rested. Love it, love it!!

Much needed
I believe in the power of mantra. This CD is both necessary and stunning. I play it just to have the higher vibrations emanate from the Sanskrit into my home. Great for meditation and just getting centered--I highly recommend it.

Shostakovich: Preludes & Fugues
Shostakovich
Harmonia Mundi, 2010
In 1950, Shostakovich went to Leipzig to attend the Bicentennial Bach competition. His admiration for Tatiana Nikolaeva s performance of the Well-Tempered Clavier served as an impetus to write his own set of Twenty-Four Preludes and Fugues, loosely modeled on Bach s. Over the years, Nikolaeva, who performed the composition frequently throughout her career, became practically synonymous with the work. Alexander Melnikov started from scratch and ...

Krishna Das
Nettwerk Records, 2010
Great singing, heart-pounding spirit --- and, now, lyrics in English
In 1967, there was no Krishna Das, just a miserable rock-and-roll kid named Jeffrey Kagel. Luckily, in 1968, Kagel met Ram Das, just back from his first trip to India. Though sworn to secrecy, Ram Das couldn't help gushing about his guru. So off Kagel went to the foothills of the Himalayas. And though he was a Jew --- "on my parents' side," he says --- he was immediately hooked by Maharaj-ji, ...

I love this calming music
Very soothing. I don't really like symphany music, however this type music does the trick. Very smooth and relaxing. Her voice is so amazing! Soft, even keyed, other singers have their back up singers to make them sound good. Enya is the oppisite of that. She makes the music and the back up singers sound good.

Great bedtime CD!
My 6-year-old son has been listening to the Indigo Dreams CD every single night since he was 2 years old. Recently I started to feel like the CD wasn't helping him anymore -- it seemed like he just didn't even notice it anymore. So I purchased Indigo Ocean Dreams. It has been wonderful! He was so excited to listen to the new stories and went to bed without incident the very first night. As ...

Reiki In Sound
Over the past 4 years , I have listened to and enjoyed many lovely music for reiki, but never like this one. This CD in particular is filled with love translated into sound. I give it away as gifts , or to encourage people to meditate. It keeps leaving my ...

Enya
Reprise / Wea, 1991
Enya's albums are fantastic if you want to really test out the power of a sterio.
And with that in mind, this is the reason that I purchased this album. For both car audio & home theater, Enya albums will really put your speakers through a vigorous workout. The result of this workout is a chance for you to properly tune your system so that it sounds pitch perfect. Way to go, Enya!

Ottmar Liebert

Another Gem from Ottmar
Once in a blue moon do you discover such great talent. You could say that Ottmar Liebert's work is under appreciated. You might go as far to say that it's overlooked. Yet, as a young kid I discovered his work. Picked up Nouveau Flamenco back in '99 and the rest is history. I have bought every single CD since then, and I have attended several of his concerts. Just when you can't imagine that his ...

A great healing meditation
I love this CD and use it quite regularly. It has helped me through some difficult health situations. I always come away feeling calmer and lighter after I listen to it. The Indian music used as background to Deepak's voice is not the usual and I like it a lot. It really adds to the experience. The CD takes about 45 minutes and you will want to listen to the whole thing.

A different side of Mannheim Steamroller
This is the first album of Mannheim Steamroller that I have heard other than their Christmas offerings. I bought it because it appeared to be patriotic music, which I love. This album did not disappoint. The first track was The Star Spangled Banner. The beginning was very dramatic, the middle was a little of a letdown, but the number ended strong. The second track, American Spirit, is one ...

Jesse Cook is the best
I saw Jesse Cook at the Britt Festival in Jacksonville Oregon in 2008. He was fantastic along with his fellow musicians. There was a gigantic line for his CD's. What a beautiful guitar sound. Great background music but too fast for massage.
