The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack
Chop Shop/Atlantic, 2009
Very surprising soundtrack.
This soundtrack is amazing and love the fact they got tons of indie bands for New Moon. The songs just describes the emotions and the intensity of the movie (Bella losing Edward). My personal favorites; Hearings Damage, No Sound but the Wing, Possibility, Slow Life, Satellite Heart.
Glee: The Music, Volume 2
Absolutely Awesome 2!
The other reviews are so thorough that I can't add much except to say that my entire family - ages 18 to 50 - loves the Glee CDs! If the music can appeal BOTH to a 22 year old male and his 50 year old father, that's saying a lot!!! I especially like the fact that the glee version of some songs are not as explicit as the original versions, and that I can enjoy the music (such as Lily Allen's ...
Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna
Our whole family loves this disc! My husband won't admit it but I know when he's been playing it in the car! Anyways, I will always love the originals but I now also love the Glee versions. Even my 6yo has now been introduced to early Madonna (I showed her the original Vogue clip, after she saw Sue's - she loved it!) Very highly recommended...
Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers (Deluxe)
More fantastic Glee music for fans
I'm a huge fan of Glee, but before I listened to this CD, I worried that the songs wouldn't be as much fun separated from powerful live performances. Not so. They stand terrifically on their own. However, the CD doesn't include much information about the songs the Glee cast covers. Curiosity led me to search out as much as I could about them, and here is what I learned for anyone who is ...
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Deluxe Edition)
Chop Shop/Atlantic, 2010
This soundtrack is enjoyable to listen to, containing a wide range of selections, mostly indie and all original in sound and content. Each song is unique in its quality, yet they compliment each other. Additionally, for fans of the movies, the music fits seamlessly with the film.
Glee: The Music, Volume 1
I was captivated by the very first show, especially the cover of Journey's Don't Stop Believin'. Our entire family loves the music. I especially like the fact that the glee version of some songs are not as explicit as the original versions, and that I can enjoy the music (such as Gold Digger) with my children without being embarrassed!
Crazy Heart: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Ltd. Deluxe Edition)
New West Records, 2010
Very good CD. The Jeff Bridges tracks are especially good. I had already seen the movie, so I knew what to expect and was not disappointed. This is a great collection of old and new Country songs, with a little Blues and Rock mixed in. Can't stop lisenting to it!
Glee: The Music - Journey to Regionals
This CD is absolutely wonderful! If you are not a fan of the show GLEE you will be. The singing of all these young people is absolutely amazing, the voices is beyond belief. I have quite a few of their CD'S and I listen to them all the time. Buy it you won't be sorry!
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Soundtrack
Chop Shop/Atlantic, 2010
Best of the trio
When I finally got this album in the mail I was excited to see what the new movie would sound like. I quickly fell in love with the songs that are eclectic and interesting. All of them flow well in the order the appear on the disk which made listening easier. I enjoy how they pull from music that is from more unknowns and can expose people to new music. I look forward to getting into my car and ...
Twilight Saga: Eclipse the Score
E1 Music, 2010
Score was a must
I have purchased every soundtrack that accompanies each of the Twilight Saga movies. I have never purchased the score for any movie, until now. The Mountain Peak scene was riveting, mainly due to the music. The camera angles, the visual background, everything was perfectly timed thus creating a sense of anticipation and purpose. In the past there has always been a piece from the score on the ...
True Blood: Music From The HBO Original Series Volume 2
Original TV Soundtrack
so much better...
if you're a trubie like so many of us are ...then you'll buy most anything that comes along that has even the slightest hint of 'blood.' I have volume 1 - wasn't in love with it. volume 2 is so much better! It has another excellent bluesy song by jace... and many other great tracks. point being, i'm very happy to be listening to it right now as i type this review :)=
Chop Shop/Atlantic, 2008
Not bad at all....
When I first saw Twilight and the song "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" came on while Edward and Bella were dancing with each other, my only thoughts were I have to have this song. I didn't plan on listening to the whole soundtrack, but did anyway, boy glad I did. Worth buying!!
The Last Airbender
James Newton Howard
Lakeshore Records, 2010
I realize the review's title isn't very imaginative, but that's the only way to describe this. James Newton Howard was an outstanding choice for the soundtrack to this film; as directors tend to go with the ones they trust- Lucas/Williams, Burton/Elfman, etc- M.Night Shayamalan and Howard have a good relationship, blossoming in his under-appreciated effort on The Lady In The Water. The general ...
Crazy Heart: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
New West Records, 2010
This a great sound track!
This is a must for all audiophiles. It covers the classics as well as the latest in Country thanks to Ryan Bingham and T.Bone Burnett.
Iron Man 2 (CD/DVD)
The closest thing that I have found to a Greatest Hits for AC/DC
For many years I have wanted a greatest hits album for AC/DC. This soundtrack is the best that I have found in that regard. While it may not have all of the best songs of the group (such a collection would not fit on a single CD), it is a great mix of both old and new from the group. I recently put the cd in while I worked on a landscaping project in my yard and was able to let it cycle for ...
Memories - Laugh Out Loud Funny - Loved it
This was such a wonderful movie that makes you laugh out loud, smile, sing and for us boomers, bring back many memories. The Brits did a superb job and the casting was fabulous. This is the kind of movie you want to share with friends and see over and over again. The soundtrack that goes with it is also fabulous!Pirate Radio
The Canadian Tenors
The Canadian Tenors
UNBELIEVABLE CD ! Would love to see a DVD of these guys with the same title. I saw them on PBS and Opra Show and was immediately taken by their awsome presence. Their voices blend extremely well. An EXCELLENT CD through and through !
Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory: Music From The Original Soundtrack Of The Paramount Picture
Hip-O Records, 1996
world of pure imagination
Daughter loves the song on the AT&T commercial. I thought, oh great, where am I going to find an old movie soundtrack. Yeah, Amazon!!
Wicked (2003 Original Broadway Cast)
Decca Broadway, 2003
A really awesome Cd (BB smiles.)
Cd came in excellent shape, still wrapped, security stupid tape, a big pain in the Butt. Not the fault of seller, Manufacture. Wish they would think of a dif way to seal the Cd's cause even though our Cd's are protected, they ruin the nice brand new Cd case. Can even scratch the case, What a pain, when it refuses to come away in one strip. Anyway back to the Recording. Clean Cd. And original ...
Jersey Boys (2005 Original Broadway Cast Recording)
