You've Got Mail: Music From The Motion Picture71 reviews
George Fenton

Atlantic / Wea, 1998

Soundtrack
I LOVE this! It's my favorite movie and I ordered two copies so that I could give one away at work as Secret Santa. My friend LOVED it too!

Appalachia Waltz / Ma, Meyer, O'Connor44 reviews
Edgar Meyer, Yo-Yo Ma, ...

Sony, 1996

Beautiful
Anyone giving this less than 4 stars must be kidding. This is beautiful. I'm not a "classical" fan, but this isn't a "classical" album. Something about the instruments being played with a bow and not picked/plucked/hit didn't sit right with me at first, it's like listening to an all winds section. But, I got over that and just let it wash over me. "First Impressions" is my favorite, it ...

Stranger Safety314 reviews
Angela Shelton, John Walsh

The Safe Side, 2005

Perfect for preschoolers.
I *hate* this video; it's filled with constant interruptions and annoying sound effects. My four-year-old, however, LOVES it! He's asked to watch it every day, and he picked up the concepts very quickly, because they were explained so well. Highly recommend!

Amazing!
As an American living abroad, this made me homesick. I listened 3 times in 24 hours and it only got better.

Roger Waters - The Wall (Live in Berlin)149 reviews
Bryan Adams, Leonard Cheshire

Island / Mercury, 2003

A concert I will never forget!
To be honest I haven't even received my DVD yet. But who cares! I was there! Other than the birth of my children I can't think of anything I think back more fondly of. You have to remember the time when this concert took place. The Berlin wall had just come down. Most of the wall was still up. The east and west side. The contrast between east and west was extremely thought provoking and something ...

The Beatles Anthology332 reviews
John Lennon, Paul McCartney

Capitol, 2003

Beatles fans, rejoice!
If you are a Beatles fan, or just want to know more about them, this is for You. This is a documentary on the scale of a Ken Burns work. Everything you would ever want is here. Concert footage, interviews with Paul, George, and Ringo. Only thing missing would be an interview with John....Wish you were here. Anyway, this is one that you will watch again and again. Well done!

So Far...The Best of Sinéad O'Connor42 reviews
Sinéad O'Connor

Capitol, 1997

"To be, or not to be..."
I haven't paid much attention to Sinead O'Connor in quite a few years, and that turned out to be a plus when I listened to this collection. I was able to judge the tracks from the perspective of the present, unaffected by the controversy that surrounded this artist and the sharp turns she took in her career, and to hear the "hits" spread among the lesser-known songs so that they blend in ...

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles22 reviews
Bear McCreary, Shirley Manson

La-La Land Records, 2008

Moving
Bear McCreary does not get enough credit for his work on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He took cues from the first two movies, and then took the score in an entirely different direction. I love this soundtrack to death. It evokes real emotion. Battlestar Galactica fans and Sarah Connor fans can both agree that Bear is one of the best composers currently working.

TV Land Presents: Favorite Tv Theme Songs31 reviews
Eliot Daniel, Walter Schumann, ...

Rhino / Wea, 2002

As promised
This CD is just as I had anticipated from other reviews--very enjoyable and nostalgic. I kept hitting the replay buttom for a few of my favorites and sang them numerous times in a row! My only complaint is that I wish some of the tunes were longer in length.

I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got70 reviews
Sinéad O'Connor

Capitol, 1990

The Lion and the Cobra
If you love this album, make sure you also own her first album, The Lion and the Cobra. It is nothing short of brilliant. These are the 2 to own by the incredible Sinead.

Promises, Promises (1968 Original Broadway Cast)35 reviews
Burt Bacharach, Hal David, ...

Varese Sarabande, 2005

The Next Best Thing To 'Time Travel'
In 1968 I was lucky enough to see the original cast version of Promises, Promises a total of 4 times - and at 21 years old thought I was watching history in the making. Sure enough, is was just the start of the Burt Bacharach fame, Dionne Warwick, Jerry Orbach and -yes- even Jill O'Hara! Buying this CD last year was like venturing back in time, to vist an old friend, just to find that the old ...

Marvelous
Renee Flemming's voice is a gift to us from God. As a professional singer myself, I am inspired by her and am in awe of her gift. I hope she makes many more recordings and is able to sing for a very long time.

Clarissa Explains It All - Season One50 reviews
Melissa Joan Hart, Jason Zimbler

Nickelodeon, 2005

Clarissa Explains it All season 1
I liked this show when I was younger and it was interesting to see it 18 years after the first season first aired. It is a fun, cute show that shows a reasonably intelligent teenage girl. It's too bad you have to go to Nickelodeon and Disney channel to find shows about teenagers who are not drinking and seeping around. My favorite extra was probably the Mellissa Joan Hart episode of Cribs. I love ...

Classic Yo-Yo16 reviews
Johann Sebastian Bach, Astor Piazzolla, ...

Sony, 2001

Simply wonderful!
I recently got this CD as a birthday gift. I've been wanting this CD for a while. The first track is a wonderful song in all reality the entire CD is a wonderful experience. The prelude by Gershwin is unique sounding with the cello. The jazz quality is still there and has a bit of classical influence intertwined among it. Yo-Yo Ma's recording of Simple Gifts is a good song and when they had the ...
