HARD EDGE!
This band is only getting better! This new line up is as heavy if not heavier that the last. This has a perfect production. The guitar attack is loud, the drums are wild and the lyrics are better than 99% of hardcore. It sounds like Refused meets Cro-Mags. Buy it and start a pit in your own bed room.
Under My Eyelids
Via Mistica
Metal Mind, 2006
After a fantastically received album Fallen Angels, which in Poland was promoted during Dark Stars Festival Tour 2004, the band prepared a new album, maintained in melancholic, doom/gothic climate. Their newest offering features 50 minutes of music closed in 12 compositions. Unique sound, untypical instruments (including for the first time, violin) and two great antagonist and yet complementary vocals... To give you the foretaste of the album, ...

Phantogram
Indie Europe/Zoom, 2009
Fantastic!
I discovered Phantogram unexpectedly when I attended a concert in Philadelphia a few months ago. They opened for The Slip and to my surprise I ended up enjoying Phantogram more than The Slip they were great. This album is also great, I enjoy every song on the album, especially Mouthful of Diamonds and As Far As I Can See. Definitely one of the best albums of the year.

Finally available in the States!!
I'll make this short and sweet. 'Eyelid Movies' is good. It's very good. You may have already heard a track here or there since the CD has been available OUTSIDE of the US for months. Psych pop with a trip-hop beat, call it what you want, but it is mesmerizing yet makes you move.

Phantogram
Ghostly Int'l, 2010
Vinyl LP pressing includes download certificate. Phantograms music sounds like it s made by a band from the city. Electronic loops, Hip Hop beats, Shoegaze, Soul and Pop each finds its way into their songs. Unexpectedly, the band doesn't live and work in a major urban center, but rather calls the town of Saratoga Springs, NY (population 26,186) home. Despite the cultural influence of local Skidmore College and a relatively small scene of ...

Worth listening to...
Some great grooves and interesting guitar figures. Love the drummer! These guys seem to know their roots--strains of the 60's, but brought up to date. Thoughtful lyrics.

Better than the rest.
If these guys stayed together they would be huge! Great axe chops! Awesome singing (the singer is now in Hotwire). The production could be better. Get this now, be inspired and start a band.

eNuminous & Archimedes
invisible caterpillar media, 2005
eNuminous & Archimedes are strange, but I love 'em!
Formed a few years ago, eNuminous & Archimedes have been recording music and tonal poem abstract sound stuff for quite a while, in two different studios in Sacramento. The sound-collage and spoken word electronic effect music is quite different, and is perfect for people who like strong dissonance and unusual lyrics. The creator of e & N, Matthew, is a pure artist, and as such has put this ...
