This CD has a mix of gospel, hip-hop, and soul. With the great production team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis is all over it--and if you weren't paying careful attention, you might not even notice that it was religiously themed; the opening "Time to Change". This CD has the capacity to strike even the secular as uplifting; in fact, you'd have to be pretty cold not to be moved by this great CD.

we love the whole series
The whole Vox Music Masters series has been a treat from age 4 on. The stories are child-oriented, but not sugary sweet (divorce and insanity both mentioned if it is appropriate for that composer). The short clips one review complained of caught the ear of my son, and he'll even pick out the tunes if he hears them as musak in a department store.

Now this is good stuff. Both sides. And it has the traditional 45rpm sized hole that has allowed me to put it in the jukebox. Usually when posthumous music is released it is made up primarily of tracks that were initially scrubbed. Both of these tracks were worthy of release during Hendrix (and Mitchell's) lifetime.

We have been listening to this CD at bedtime since our son was born. He is now six, and it's still what he listens to as he falls asleep. The songs are so peaceful and lovely that they do not get old. I logged in today to order another CD, as ours is getting screechy from so many years of use.
