This is our second unit. The first one lasted outside, used at least 75 times a year for 7 years. This is a very sturdy, safe fire pit. The bowl is high enough off the deck that we have used a bbq mat from Ace hardware and the deck does not even get warm to the touch underneath. To ad elegance to your entry, this is a beautiful item. It does remove debris from your shoes, but it's fairly small and actually more decorative than useful.(The reason for 4 stars versus 5.) The finish is a lovely bronze and it has small, but sturdy, feet with non-skid pads.
