This is the only Chessmaster game I have owned.I did not buy the latest version based on Amazon reviews. The bottom line is I like it. My chess ability being what it is, I will never even come close to beating it. I recomend it.

Works great with Intel Macs
Chessmaster 9000 (Mac) is a great game. It provides excellent interactive tutorials for beginning chess players, many different piece styles, and playing options. It also is very playable on the new Intel Macs even though it is running in Rosetta. The only issues I have noticed is the video on the splash screen at startup is a bit choppy. Excellent for the Price ...
You can't go wrong with this first person shooter Half-Life2 knock-off. Graphics are decent, sound is good, controls and gameplay are intuitive ... and for this low price, it's agreat deal. This game runs great on my older XP computer. Highly recommended.

Super Learning Tool
Chessmaster9000 begins with the basics. It teaches proper moves of each piece. My 7-year old grandson is learning from this CD. However, it can challenge many avid players. It really covers all the bases of Chess.
