Rome: Total War Gold Edition39 reviews

Windows | Sega of America, Inc., 2006

Fast delivery. A must have for the game strategist.
This is a turn based game were the player captures cities on a map of ancient Europe. Player must manage the economics of each city that is owned, by building structures and taxing the citizens. Military units must be created on the genre of ancient Roman times for the defense of cities and expansion of the players empire. The highlight of this game is the management of unit formations on the ...

StarCraft Battle Chest260 reviews

Macintosh, Windows | Blizzard Entertainment, 1999

Just paying tribute to the best RTS ever
I doubt that Blizzard will make a better game than this. It's indeed the work of a genious, who left the company shortly afterwards. Thus, I don't expect much from the sequel. If you haven't play this, then it's probably because you are 13 or less year old, or because you don't play computer games in general. In any case if you are looking for RTS than stop: this is the one!

Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Gold Edition36 reviews

Windows | Take 2, 2007

Great game, wish I'd bought the Complete Edition
I got to this game a few years after it came out, but I am not at all dissapointed in the content. The only thing I wish is that I'd have bought the complete edition (which I didn't know existed), instead of buying this edition and Beyond the Sword separately.

Sid Meiers Civilization IV Beyond the Sword61 reviews

Windows | 2K Games, 2007

Umpteenth generation of a game
I am not good with the computer world, but I have played "Civilization" since it first appeared. Each version is an improvement, but this is the best. I enjoy the new civilizations, e.g., Holy Romsn Empire, Holland, but I really like the new gossipy reports about what is going on with both my enemies and myself. It is lots of fun, even for a non-geek such as myself. I suspect computer ...

SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition180 reviews

Windows | Electronic Arts, 2003

I love it.
I played SimCity 2000 way back in the day, and decided to get back into mayorship after moving to NYC. Maxis as certainly advanced a lot in this version of the game. Lots more to take care of like garbage and high schools, but what I love working with the most is designing an efficient transit system, now with separate rails, subways, and monorails, plus a plethora of other options. And ...

World Of Warcraft Expansion: Burning Crusade155 reviews

Windows, Macintosh | Blizzard Entertainment, 2007

Outland Outstanding
I started playing WoW in November of 2007 so this review is as much about WoW as it is about the Burning Crusade expansion. Wow and BC are sophisticated MMORGs in that the story development and plot lines are well constructed and thought out. Playing the game and leveling can be a bit of a grind now and then, but there are plenty of in-game activities from battlegrounds to seasonal quests to ...

Warcraft III Battle Chest97 reviews

Macintosh, Windows | Blizzard Entertainment, 2003

Very fun game once you understand
Warcraft 3 is another triumph for blizzard. The graphics great and the game play even better. A warning its not role-playing game this is a stratagy game. The concept of the game is to bulid you empire n=and dominate the map. This game is very very very fun. It will take 2 or so hourse for you to get the hang of thing but once the ball is rolling it wont stop. The online is extremely fun ...

Civilization 3 Complete59 reviews

Windows | 2K Games, 2005

Civ 3 Conquests is the Best Game Ever
I was first introduced to the Civilization series about 12 years ago by my ex-girlfriend. The girlfriend is long gone, but I still play Civ regularly. as a matter of fact, it is the only computer game that I play now. My wife is required to tolerate Civ. It is a turn based game, so you don't have to worry about moving quickly. It is a thinking person's game the strategy can get detailed and ...

Black & White 246 reviews

Windows | Electronic Arts, 2005

My favorite game
Ok, after reading most of the reviews here, I am frankly disgusted by how I see people whining about it. The largest complaint, the boring tutorials, I found interesting. I never look at tutorials in any game I play, but I like the tutorial in B&W2, as it gives you free tribute. Also, I play Halo, Battlefield 2, and plenty of other fast-paced games. I still love this game, even though it gets ...

The Sims 2: Open for Business Expansion Pack72 reviews

Windows | Electronic Arts, 2006

Best Expansion
Open for Business and University are the two most fun expansions to The Sims 2 world that have come out. With this package, you can buy a business, build just about any business that you want, train employees, make your own stuff to sell, work from home, create a home business, buy more community property, and do just about anything which is great. Once you own a business and start making ...

The Sims 2896 reviews

Windows | Electronic Arts, 2004

Much, much better than the original
I bought the Sims 2 Deluxe version in July and after almost three months of consistent gameplay, I'm ready to review. I had the original Sims and it was a blast. I loved being able to control what my little people did, how they interacted with each other and little things like whether or not they went to work that day or when they went to the bathroom. The Sims 2 gives you all of that plus ...

Rail Simulator13 reviews

Windows | Electronic Arts, 2008

New game has promise
This can be a very good game, the graphics are great, the scope is limited now, but hopefully add-ons will expand it. The directions are limited, but getting on the forum, you can learn a lot. The scenery for the Cajon Pass is quite accurate. I have watched train tapes of this area to see it in real life. There are set scenerios you can use, make your own or just make up a train and go where you ...

Sins of a Solar Empire55 reviews

Windows | Stardock, 2008

The only thing it lacks is a Campaign mode.
I have nothing but high praise for Sins of a Solar Empire in every category. The Graphics are top notch, the gameplay is both unique and intuitive, not to mention addicting! And the sound and music is spot on. The only thing that would make this game better would be a single player campaign.
