World in Conflict Collectors Edition8 reviews

Windows | Sierra, 2007

Another great RTS
This game is great, and it thought it was very cool when played. The single player story line is great, but those older computers can't rely on playing this game, although i'm playing it on low with a laptop. The extra stuff is more than worth it, but the thing is the cd key isn't needed until you get online. So even on the trial version, you could probably play the single player anytime, it's ...

Defcon: Strategic Nuclear War4 reviews

Windows | Encore, 2007

DEFCON
The most intreging game I have ever seen since the C64 days. This game leaves you spell bound for hours on end. Use the Tutorial Demo to help you get used to the commands and launches. I would rate this game DEFCON at 150% above all my expectations

Sins of a Solar Empire79 reviews

Windows | Stardock, 2008

very enjoyable game with no Securom or DRM, thats good!
hours of play with interesting strategy and great tech tree. Can turn into a bit of a frustrating war of attrition on the really big maps though. There will soon be micro expansions available with the first one adding space stations that looks like it will add some real replayability All in all it's well worth the money.

World In Conflict67 reviews

Windows | Sierra, 2007

Red Dawn: The Video Game
In the late 80s, when "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" is ruling the radio, a war is going on in Europe, and when this volatile pot starts boiling, it somehow moves to America. At first, in only starts on Ellis, Governor's, and Liberty Island, but it then those sneaky Reds come ashore in Seattle and start wreaking havoc. Unfortunately, the only ones who are there to defend the area just got ...

SuperPower 214 reviews

Windows | Dreamcatcher Interactive, 2004

Frustrating
Excellent premise but this game is extremely fragile -- the least memory distraction makes the whole game lock up or shut down, and if you're playing in a LAN, it'll lock up all the computers linked into the game. Too much emphasis on military silliness to sell it to warmongering nerds. The designers would have been better advised to counterbalance the economic and political power and actions ...

Defcon7 reviews

Windows | Encore, 2007

An interesting surprise
This is not an all too typical "mindless" destroy-the-world-and-savor-the-victory game. Game Play The game interface is essentially a world "threat board" format with easy scrolling and zoom features. The interface may sound simple; but the simplicity is augmented by tastefully done effects and a graphical somberness that makes the board seem all too real (think WarGames the movie). At times, ...

Wargames Defcon 1 PS10 reviews

PlayStation | Not Available

Very good game!
I reccomend to all who have played this game to go out and rent or just plain see the movie Wargames. There is a lot of relation and seems like you are doing the work of the computer and the other guy(can't remember his name, sorry). I like this game for the reason being that it has a good multiplayer mode. You can not only be on opposing teams, but on each others teams. This is what most games ...

Darwinia5 reviews

Windows | 2K Games, 2006

Play this game!
If you're on the fence about _Darwinia_, you think you might like it but haven't bought it yet, stop reading right now and buy the game. You'll love it. If you're looking for some light strategy and fun puzzles packaged together with beautiful (if unconventional) visuals and a great sound track (search the web for trash80), stop reading and go buy this game. You can thank me later. For ...

Defcon 51 review

PlayStation | Data East

Great concept, poor execution
But I like it anyway. This has got to be one of the first games to have come out for the PSX when everything was still in its experimental stages. If they were to recreate this game using modern technology and basic story techniques for plot development, this game would attract a large cult following. Here is my review: You play as an employee of the Tyron HQ, some kind of corporation that ...

Uplink: Hacker Elite20 reviews

Windows | Strategy First, 2003

Never Thought A Hacking Game Would Be That Good!
This hacker simulation game is simply better than my imagination. You are first hired to do hacking tasks, taken by fairly good tutorial, and then moving on to the real world. you have to go through all kind of password cracking, firewall bypassing, Bouncing Connections, it even has its command line feature. You start gradually and have all the support material included as part of the game ...
