I'v been useing this with my GameCube controller and Wii to play Smash Brothers Braw for the past few weeks now and it does it's job. The extension I got had the cord extension in a plastic encloser so it's nice to store instead of just having cable all over the place.

A wobbly microphone stand
With the mic stand I bought, the lowest screw doesn't thread properly -- it seems way too small for the screw hole. I can stand the thing up without tightening the now useless lower screw, but the stand is kind of wobbly. I put some electrical tape around the bottom pole to tighten the gap between the pole and the bottom sleeve which seems to help a bit. I'd be willing to spend a few dollars ...
