Hoyle is good.
I really like this one. You play a game of scrabble with real odd characters. You also can get sounds. I really like this one the best of all of the crossword cds. You can sit for hours and play this one. I do recommend it highly.

Excellent, many-faceted game.
I like the Hoyle a lot. Although I bought it for practice in bridge bidding, I'm getting sucked in to the other addictive games as well. Including (can you believe) "Go Fish". I'm not enthusiastic about the characters that make up the fellow players, but you can change them, and also turn off the sound in most instances. And the Hoyle is quite a value.

worth the cost
Hoyle Casino 2008 I have been playing Hoyle Games for a long while. Each year they add new stuff. This time around they added Video Slots-a game I have been curious about since seeing them in actual casinos. I am very satisfied with the quality and completeness of these games. I spent quite a bit of my time playing them and enjoy it.

my thoughts
Well two out of three titles are worth buying. Encore ecould have rebuilt the puzzle and board games. The casino title is built a lot like the card games title, except is the color is green, All inprovements make it worth buying the casino and card games, pass on puzzle and board game title

Pass On 2009
If you already have the 2008 version, stick with that and forget about this 2009 version. If you don't have 2008, buy that instead of 2009. The only new games are some Big Bang games, and they are hardly enough to recommend this "update". You are forced to play with a snarky little Geni (I guess that is what he is), and these classic games are neither particulary interesting or engaging. One ...

Great Escape!
The "Tile Games" in this edition are a lot of fun. What's nice is there are several ways to play them. Our 19 year-old grandson enjoyed it so much, I had to order him one, too. What we liked the most was the "Slide Tiles." It's very addictive. Rummy Squares is also a good one. Any "Seniors" out there would enjoy this, but it's also fun for the teenagers. The games are great! I am addicted to Star Collector. However, I recommend when you install to not allow it to happen automatically. Several Hoyle products want to install another program that is not necessary to play the games. If it doesn't come up with Hoyle cancel and do a manual install from the disc. You don't need more icons installed, more TSR programs running in the background. ...

This is really a terrific game! There are many different games, some that I had never even heard of before! But thanks to Hoyle's rule page, I know all the games as if I was born knowing them! The facemaker works really well, and is easy to use. I also like the fact that more than one person can be playing in one game. I give this a thumbs up!
