AWESOME game...BUT!
I really don't get all the whining, I have played NASCAR 05, then 08 and now 09...I even liked 08, want to know why? BECAUSE IT WAS TOUGH TO DRIVE/CONTROL THE CARS! I sitll think that if you CAN drive in NASAR 08, you drive any other racing game (I own various Need For Speed and Burnout Paradise, and have played Gran Turismo...) Nascar fan
This game will give you an all new respect for the real drivers. This is not a game for the average driver. Even the beginner setting are more then a handful for me. I have both the 08 and 09 games and I do like the lay out and the caracteristics of the 08 game just a little better.

Great but far from Perfect
Nascar 08 is 2x better than the lagging 07 version. Thougth the 08 version does lack these Total Team Control Features of past years the new features and new COT handiling model makes this game great. Though the PS3 version is easier on the eyes and more advanced, the 08 version still is a great game on PS2 and sets a high bar for other racing games.

Pleasantly surprised
I bought this wheel without seeing it in person, and wasn't 100% sure what it would be like. It turns out to have a very solid look and feel and seems more or less like driving a real car. I can't compare it to other wheels, but I can say that this wheel gets the job done and makes driving games both more fun and easier to win.

wow i read all these bad reviews for the xbox360 nascar 09 and i am surprised that EA actually put a game out thats better on the playstation 3.don't get me wrong the ps3 game has problems to like some online freezing problems.but the game itself has no problems whatsoever.sounds looks like EA needs to put out a update for the xbox360 game.

I bought this game last year and absolutely fell in love with it! it is the coolest racing game I have ever played.
