I modestly recommend this video, as it is a decent overview of past assassinations. I did not care for the annoying "official" story re: 11/22/63 and Oswald but, other than that, this serves as a nice primer on the history of political violence in our country.
Vince Palamara-JFK/ Secret Service ...
As the leading civilian authority on the U.S. Secret Service, I modestly recommend this work, especially for those with a keen interest in the Secret Service. There are some fine photographs and, with a nice introduction by Arthur Schlesinger, you just can't lose. It's alittle dated, but it's still ...
Very good program about the oldest law enforcement agency
+ An entertaining look at the US Secret Service
As the leading civilian authority on the U.S. Secret Service, I must say I was somewhat impressed with this particular program. Specifically, the producers should be thanked for getting former agents' Winston Lawson and Floyd Boring on camera (at that time in 1995, this was their first appearance ...
Another surprisingly good "children's" book on the Service!
Author Ann Graham Gaines should be commended for putting together, along with Senior Consulting Editor Arthur M. Schlesigner, Jr., such a fine volume on the Secret Service. The funny thing is: this book may be intended for a young audience, but is actually quite appropriate for an older readership, ...
I read Robertson's book and reviewed the DVD he wrote about. I must admit that I was very skeptical at first, but after reviewing everything, including the DVD multiple times, I saw it! Greer did kill JFK! As Robertson says in his book and as he shows in his photos, the gun is not near Kellerman's ...
very good tribute to JFK (and some great vintage footage, too)
+ good tape
I recommend this dvd for all lovers of JFK. I especially liked the comments of Dave Powers, Red Fay, and Carol Channing. That said, the main reason to get this dvd is for the vintage footage, especially the high-quality segment from Love Field 11/22/63 wherein Secret Service agent Henry J. Rybka is ...
+ Really nice package covering the history of the Service
I am from Tbilisi, Georgian Republic and purchase many items from the Amazon! This title was in my first purchases and I would highly recommend this set to everyone who is collecting materials like this and this is another example of openness in the United States. You will never see this kind of ...
Worth it for former agent's Sherman, Newman, Paolella, & McIntyre
I modestly recommend this video, as it contains the on-camera comments of former Secret Service agent's Tony Sherman, Larry Newman, Joe Paolella, and William "Tim" McIntyre, all of whom I have spoken to and/ or corresponded with myself. That said, I do not endorse Seymour Hersh's book, per se...but ...
Carmine and Robert Motto: brothers in the Secret Service
I highly recommend this thriller of a book. Very well written as well. For True Crime ethusiasts. For the Secret Service enthusiasts, some interesting background---
Robert J. Motto, 88, a former Secret Service agent who protected five
presidents in his 21-year career, died Tuesday, March 19, ...
+ Excellent DVD about the history of the Zapruder film. + just a minor correction
Eyewitnesses are given too much credibility and are notoriously inaccurate. Conspiracy buffs have fashioned an industry out of events told and retold but this footage is the best witness. It is also horrific to watch. I had heard the Parkland surgeons all talk about a head wound behind the ...
Michael V. Maddaloni, a former Secret Service Agent, has prepared an easy to read guide that provides a wealth of useful information for career law enforcement and military professionals who plan to enter the corporate world.
Highly ironic book from JFK's first Secret Service Chief
(replaced by James J. Rowley, the former SAIC of the WHD, Sept. 1961-1973)
This book, written BEFORE 11/22/63, contains many ironic and troubling passages:
-Baughman's most important call, the one that defined his life: 11/22 (48)...the boss who "retired him" was murdered 11/22 (63);
-although ...
(Jack Puterbaugh and Marty Underwood were the others)
This is a good book from Jerry Bruno and ABC's Jeff Greenfield. There is good information about JFK's Conservation Tour and the ill-fated Texas trip.
Vince Palamara-JFK/ Secret Service expert (History Channel, author of two books, in over 30 ...
This has everything you want in a good book. A great story, history, drama, and pathos. I am a history teacher and was impressed by both the depth of research and the quality of the writing.
This is about 2 Puerto Rican Nationalists who, compelled by their fervent beliefs, tried to assassinate ...
Yet ANOTHER fine "kids" book about the Secret Service
As the leading civilian authority on the U.S. Secret Service, I was greatly suprised and impressed with this "kids" book about the Secret Service. Some very good information about the modern Secret Service is captured in good detail. In addition, there are several nice photographs included. Buy it!
As the leading civilian authority on the Secret Service, I highly recommend this great "starter" book on the agency. There are nice graphics and the book, albeit short in length, is well written and incisive. Get this asap!
