I would buy it solely for the killer toys. This movie has it's moments, but it is mostly dry and devoid of any actual horror. The twist ending is stupid but SOMEHOW makes sense. I would wait until they got this out on DVD along with the other three or four they're still missing.
In 1990, another Amityville installment was released. The name of this fifth Amityville installment is...THE AMITYVILLE CURSE. This film was pretty good, in my opinion. Sure it isn't THE AMITYVILLE HORROR or AMITYVILLE II: THE POSSESSION, but this one is a worthy sequel.
An unseen assailant ...
In 1997 (but filmed in 1996), the eighth and final Amityville installment had arrived. This eighth installment is appropriately titled, AMITYVILLE DOLLHOUSE: EVIL NEVER DIES.

Definitely Low Budget, but with High Production values.
If you have a 5.1 surround that has an emulator mode, you will need it for this, since the audio is not for surround, and looks like a VHS to DVD transfer( of good Quality). The emulation mode will pay back with scares during the spooky ...
This film goes down as the abomination that was the final nail in the coffin of the original classic series. After many years agreeing with that notion, I find it has aged well. TCM 2 still shines to me as THE over-the-top slasher-satire. And TCM3 was a cheap New Line rock n roll Jason-knock off, ...
To me, I know I like a movie when it stays in my head. This movie did just that for several days. It made me jump through the whole thing and I just wanna say unless your baby or mama is in "that house" do NOT go in when you are already out!
For the sixth installment, the Amityville series is back in California, as in Amityville: The Evil Escapes ("Amityville 4"). This time, Jacob Sterling (Stephen Macht), a single father and an architect, brings the "Amityville Curse" home with him by way of a possessed clock that he picked up on a ...
"...I don't know about you guys, but I happen to like my teeth right where they are..."
+ Tense and Foreboding - It's the Atmosphere that Makes this Remake + Great edition to the series
Introduction: For starters, I never really planned on watching anything related to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, mostly because it reaches outside the type horror films that I can stand to watch (and no, I'm not talking teen-slasher flicks). Excessive amounts of blood and gore have never been ...
+ One of my all time favorite Films ever made + Fresh from the Slaughterhouse

Created in summer of 1973 by Tobe Hooper, TCM has become one of the most recognized and influential horror films of all time. Achieving super cult status, ...
It looks low-budget, but I still found parts of it scary, and other parts hand-over-mouth gross. And it wasn't clear what would happen next, which was good.
Also, this has some great scenes filmed in older Los Feliz, Los Angeles, above the cool Fred 64 restaurant now!
