Big Book of Cars 2 reviews DK Publishing
DK CHILDREN, 1999
Have A Kid Who Likes Cars?
+ The big book of cars rocks!
Then this is an excellent choice. I'm a children's librarian and this book always goes out. Big glossy pictures, fold out pages and interesting facts on what the car does (for instance, the dodge viper has an engine 6 times the size of a small family car, has special handles on the door that you ...

Fox and His Friends: Level 3 (Easy-to-Read, Puffin) 1 review Edward Marshall
Puffin, 1994
Classic James Marshall
If you have a child between 3 and 8, you should buy this book. The late, great James Marshall (Edward was a pseudonym) had the rare ability to tell a story using easy-to-read words, but still with genuinely surprising and humorous twists. This book's ending is a brilliant twist, which I will not ...

My Soccer Book 2 reviews
HarperCollins, 2000
Great for four year olds!
+ Good for 4 or 5 year olds.
My two love this book. It breaks the principles of the game into simplistic steps and basic explanations which are perfect for preschoolers. The bold pictures make the book enjoyable for the boys to "read" to themselves sometimes, too.
