Handel: Water Music; Organ Concertos George Frederick Handel, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, ...
Elektra / Wea, 1994
What a wonderful, nutty performance this is! Nikolaus Harnoncourt simply revels in the raucous sounds made by his period instrument band. The horns don't play trills, but rather "raspberries," and while some people without much of a sense of humor object to the "Bronx cheer" approach, everyone seems to be having so much fun that it's churlish to complain. A panic. --David Hurwitz

Les Petites Notes 12 reviews Liane Foly
Virgin France, 1996
Delicious (Acquired) Taste!!
+ Exquisite throwback to 1960's jazz + Sexy Jazz-Pop.
I ordered this CD on accident in 1994 - I was trying to order a song I had heard on my favorite radio station (106.9 KKNW - Seattle) titled 'Step by Step'. I didn't read French, and wasn't sure what the title would be in that language. I wasn't hot on the music, and gave the CD to my mom, who one ...
