The phonetics that are used in the CD ROM are extremely helpful and is great that you can slow the word down to hear the accents of how it is to be said. I Can Speak Spanish is a good solid course but I do not recommend that you use it alone. I suggest you buy a good solid car course to use in conjunction with this one at home to have a full and well rounded instructional experience and truly speak Spanish.
