This is a great game! It has the best plot and good graphics. You can easily play this game for hours and never get tired of it. I love this game because of it's complex trategies and the fact that you have to use your head at what you do plus you can choose who you have in your party and you can build up your characters as you go but you should build them up early so its not so hard to do later on in the game when you get stuck.

Well worth the money and time.
Buying a video game is like watching a movie, its not so much the cost of the game but whether it will be worth playing once you get it. This game is definitely worth the time and money. I spend most of my gaming hours playing everquest but Warcraft the Baldur's gate series are the only other PC games I play these days on a regular basis.

More baldurs gate? This expansion adds a higher xp cap, more areas, more weapons, and more baddies. If you were a fan of the original, then you will definitely find more gaming goodness here. This adds around 20 hours of gameplay, as well as making the original game more of a challenge, which is always a plus. If you liked the original, get this now!

One of the all time great CRPG's. Having 4 dvd's instead of 11 (i think) total CD's is awesome. Just as a warning to a collector type, it does not come with a hard copy of any of the instruction books. There are PDF versions on the various DVD's.

I bought this game and love it! While I'm not sure how fast it would have played in its CD version, my DVD player worked very quickly (plus you never have to change CDs, which can be very annoying when you change game areas). Highly recommended!

One of the Greatest RPG games ever
This is probably the second best RPG game ever made, exceeded only by the follow on Installment, Shadows of Amn. It is an old game and but the graphics are still acceptable for the third person type format that is used. A strong story line, many side quests and battles that require thought rather than just brute force and numerous traps that make a thief essential in the party make up.
