Not too bad
My six year old got this game last year and loved it. It's a lot of fun, but only marginally educational. I think the Jumpstart series is much better. He does have fun with it though, and it does help reinforce skills such as math and geography. It doesn't help much in the language arts area.

My in-laws bought this game for my 7 yrs. old son. The day he unwrapped and put it into PC, he was on the computer for nearly five hours. We couldn't get him downstairs for lunch. Obsolete game [maybe]
I wish I knew if this game was fun or not. Unfortunately it is not compatible with anything newer than Windows 2000. I was unable to get my computer to recognize the CD. Admittedly, this could be user-error. I have not been able to find a newer version of this game as of yet, but when/if I do, I will update this review.

I was surprised this was designed for 1st grade. The math part has multiplication and fractions. The spelling/vocabulary is what a third grader would be learning. Not quite what I was expecting, but fun and educational all the same. At least my child won't outgrow this in a year!
