The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes11 reviews

Mac OS X, Windows | Legacy Interactive, 2008

NASCAR detective!
What a fun game. Loaded easily, funcitioned smoothly, and after you play through to "solve" each mystery, you can go back over and over again for "best time and score." Graphics are great, and the rooms are like those in Ravenhearst. The added wrinkle is solving the crime with clues you're given along the way. The puzzles are challenging too, even if you've done them before, and the items ...

Clue Classic1 review

Windows | Encore Software, 2008

disapointed
The game can only be played by one person not a group. It is great if you want the computer to take over instead of you and friends.

Cluefinders Math Adventures Ages 9-12 Deluxe1 review

Windows, Macintosh, Mac OS X | Learning Company

A Must Have
This software takes your kids on an adventure where they have to solve math problems of various types to gather information from the local people. It is well thought out and the kids love it because it doesn't feel like drill work for Math skills. There are prompts if you get stuck and lots of encouragement. A must have for your 9-12 year olds!

I Spy Mystery1 review

Mac OS X, Windows | Scholastic, 2007

Top drawer medley of I Spy picture puzzles
I am so glad that I bought this computer game for my kids before reading the reviews on this site! Look, we don't have a lot of computer games and we had just recently discovered the I Spy books about 1 year ago. We loved them so much that I do believe we'd read nearly all of them before I saw this game for sale. This excellent little collection of picture puzzles is not repeated from the ...

ClueFinders 3rd Grade13 reviews

Macintosh, Windows | The Learning Company, 2000

TERRRIFIC!
Our 4 year old LOVES this! He needs a lot of help doing this b/c you have to be in atleast 2nd grade to get it but he loves the adventure and is picking up some new skills along the way whereas he didn't really enjoy the Reader Rabbit series that much... it was too "babyish" for him.

ClueFinders 3rd Grade Adventures: Mystery of Mathra8 reviews

Macintosh, Windows | The Learning Company, 2002

Great teaching game
We are a homeschooling family. I bought this game along with the fourth grade and fifth grade versions for my nine year old. She sailed through the other two, but found this one challenging. It is great for reinforcing math, introduces chemistry, addresses the pollution problem, history, spelling, vocabulary and reading comprehension. There is a level selection area in which you can choose ...

ClueFinders 4th Grade Adventures: Puzzle of the Pyramid7 reviews

Windows, Macintosh | The Learning Company, 2000

So much fun you forget you're learning!
This is a great program. I got it for my 3rd grade daughter and we both thought it was a lot of fun. It covers areas such as fractions, logic, sentence structure and geography. You have to collect different items that let you progress through the games. This is all done by completing the various puzzles and activities. The game progresses like an adventure story. You have to complete one ...

Fun and learing combined
We ordered this for my 4th grade son (he was done with the 4th grade adventures at Christmas). The storyline keeps him very interested in this game and thus learns more.

ClueFinders 5th Grade4 reviews

Macintosh, Windows | The Learning Company

Highly Recommended
Probably most important with any educational software is finding something you're child really likes. My son loves to play this game! He especially likes playing geography and maps. He loves choosing were in the world to send one of the characters. If he sends the character to the correct place, then he wins a "crypt tile". Crypt tiles are important because they are used to solve the games ...

ClueFinders 3rd Grade5 reviews

Macintosh, Windows | The Learning Company, 2000

Cluefinders 3rd Grade Adventures
Our daughter's school recommended this program for children entering 3rd grade. My child and I spent all summer working on this together. It was great quality time for her and me. More importantly, it was something she looked forward to doing (which is a tall order for an 8-year old on summer vacation). It focused on sharpening thinking and problem solving skills. I was pleased with the ...

TLC Blue's Clues Preschool Learning System 20084 reviews

Windows | Encore, 2007

It's a hit with my preschooler!
I think the other reviews are a bit too critical. My 3-year-old son, an authority on all things Blue, picked up on this without too much difficulty. He loves all the Blue's Clues characters, so this appealed to him right away. There was a small learning curve, as his other toddler software doesn't require him to do much clicking, yet this did. I only showed him a few time though, and he ...

great for kids game
I got this for my son's 5th birthday because he loves computer games and he loves Blue's Clues. It's in very good condition and works perfectly. My son really loves playing it.
