Great software, a must own
My 10 year old loves this software and does not need any nagging to practice it. A must have for kids who are attempting to improve their typing. I give it 10 toes up!

Apple Logic Express 810 reviews

awesome
This is already known as one of the best in the industry. I love the human interface. Everything is very intuitive. Great sounds. Easy to use.

Call of Duty Deluxe Edition25 reviews

Windows | Activision, 2005

Saddle Up!!!!
Very cool first person shooter. My favorite feature of this game is the fact you can use the weapons sights to aim with... no floating reticule!!! The action is fairly realistic with the enemy AI being consistent if not diabolically clever. I can gush 12 pages about the things I like about this game, so instead I will cover what I found to be shortcomings for the sake of brevity. Like all games ...

Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 [OLD VERSION]89 reviews

Windows | Adobe, 2006

good program
It is a very good program. I advise taking a class about it if you aren't familiar. Not as easy as simple programs, but it can do much more. Be sure to learn to use layers.

CoreFX Three Level Complete Drawing1 review

Windows | Global Marketing Partners, 2005

Very Capable and Flexible Program
I downloaded the trial version (just do a Google search) which is good for 3 days (no save/print). I was very impressed and so were my kids. It's especially impressive that they essentially include three different versions for various ages, the Basic being very appropriate for a young one to explore their artistic talents, and move up as they get older. The whole program is very easy to use ...

Apple Final Cut Studio 2 (Mac)6 reviews

Mac OS X, Mac OS X Intel | Apple, 2007

Finally!
Using v1 for years, I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of v2. I can now confirm that FCS2 has matured to the point of being called industry ready. v1 had issue no doubt. But with so much effort directed towards Motion and DVD studio Pro, v2 has all the elements in place for serious mission critical use. Though FC itself seems to have been ignored. To date, we still rely heavily on third party ...

Apple Logic Studio15 reviews

Macintosh, PowerMac, Mac OS X | Apple, 2007

Greatest software ever
I bought this software not knowing much about Mac, as I recently got my first Mac. I bought this software to produce trance and house music. After playing around with this for a couple of days, I have come to a conclusion. This is the greatest software ever made. I used to use Reason in the past, and it is a poor substitute for Logic. If you want professional software, this is your best bet.

Movie Edit Pro 146 reviews

Windows | Magix Entertainment, 2008

Makes a great video for the price
I've used this program to piece together video clips, photos and music and am very pleased with the end result. No distortion of the images, whether increased or decreased in size. I was using Nero, but my videos ended up with distortion. The transitions are a bit lacking, although there are plenty of them to choose from. Seem dated and not daring enough in what they do and how quickly they ...

Nitro PDF Professional14 reviews

Windows | Avanquest, 2006

Happy to recommend
I have not used PDF software before and this was very simple to use. Now I can create PDFs, change text and use sticky notes and stamps. The software is pretty cheap for what it does.

Sound Studio 3: Record, Edit, Add Effects to Audio (Mac)3 reviews

Mac OS X | Freeverse Software, 2006

Nice handy-dandy audio editor
I like this software because it is a nice and easy editing program. It operates mainly in two tracks, so if you're looking for someing a la ProTools, keep looking. I use this program mainly to check audio files that students submit for grading - its quick and easy to pop in their disk, open the file and check levels, etc. Its also nice for quick editing of small files. I'm not too keen on the ...

Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 [Old Version]51 reviews

Windows | Adobe, 2005

Much Better Than Pinnacle 10
After collecting many reels of digital video tape, I was in the market for an editor to compile them. I bought Pinnacle 10 and was sorely disappointed in that it was supposed to be an improvement over release 8. Not so. I bought Adobe Premier Elements 2.0 and was a little concerned at the outset in that it seems to have a long learning curve. After using it to produce serveral DVDs I have ...

Apple Logic Studio Upgrade from Logic Pro or Gold2 reviews

Macintosh, PowerMac, Mac OS X | Apple, 2007

BYE BYE PRO TOOLS!
Goodbye Pro Tools, this one outdoes it and at a price and ease that leaves PT in it's dust. Apple lost the dongle with this version--a big THANKS for that! It's loaded! None of the BS that Digidesign includes and adds for free. Thanks APPLE!!

Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 [OLD VERSION]41 reviews

Windows | Microsoft Software, 2005

Best Version Yet. Highly Recomended!!!
If you want to spend more time taking good pictures and less time editing, I highly recommend Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006. Much easier to use than Photoshop. It even will let you work with your RAW flies. Be sure not to get this and not the "Anniversary Edition" if you want to work with RAW.

Movie Edit Pro Twelve15 reviews

Windows | Magix Entertainment, 2007

Beginner's Buy Elsewhere, Experience Folks, This a Best Buy
If you are new to video editing, unless you expect to spend some serious time emersing in the art, Magix product is not for you. New people, or light users are far better off with Pinnacle Systems (AVID) Studio, now Studio 12. I recommend Studio 12 Plus, its few dollars more, but has what everyone but heavy users want. Magix Movie Edit Pro 12 (and now 14) has an awesome array of powerful, ...

Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 Plus Premiere Elements 2.0 [DVD]38 reviews

Windows | Adobe, 2005

Exceptional Programs
The two programs interact nicely. I was able to easily send pictures from Photoshop Elements to Premiere Elements to make a slide show movie. Both my teenagers have been using Photoshop Elements to cut and paste my mug shot in to other pictures. Permiere Elements is easy to use for movies. The bundled package saved me a few dollars.

Adobe Photo Deluxe 3.0 HOME EDITION2 reviews

Windows, Mac OS 9 and below | Adobe

good software
I have used this for doing all sorts of editing with my digital photos. Easy to use and does everything, including trick photos that will fool your mother. A lot of fun to use and easy. I have also tried elements and it's not nearly as user frendly (meaning a pain in the rear to use).

Planet Wide Comics Comic Book Creator25 reviews

Apple Logic Express 8 Upgrade2 reviews

Macintosh, PowerMac, Mac OS X | Apple, 2007

Excellent music composition software
I do only amateur MIDI-based music composition, no audio recording. Thus I can't comment on the latter. For the former, however, Logic Express offers all the tools I need to edit MIDI-events, and access to the tools will feel natural to anyone already comfortable with the Mac-way of doing things. Garageband's capabilities as a MIDI-event editor are rudimentary, where as Logic Express's ...
