there is always built in the obsolence factor. When I save in the new format no one can open documents I email. I have to save in the older version to send. It did however stop crash problems that emerged with the earlier word when I upgraded to the latest Mac OS 10 system

User Friendly Program
As someone who is not computer-savvy, I needed a slide show program that would be easy to use but that the final product would have a "WOW! How'd you do that?" factor -- and this program does just that. Easy to use, and in addition to using still photos, it also converts movies from my digital camera to formats that can be used/viewed in other programs. By far, the best inexpensive program around.
