The STANDARD by which modern RPG's are judged..
Neverwinter Nights is not perfect. Perhaps the biggest complaint is their inaccurate implementation of the D&D ruleset (3.1 I believe) which caused some friction between bioware and Wizards of the Coast and caused Bioware to invent their own fantasy realm to compete with D&D. Which is all seems so unbelievable considering that Bioware with the incredible sales of Baldur's Gate really rescued ...

For all you dungeons & dragons fans out there, this game is great! Takes awhile to go thru it all but you will also want to play it again. It's that good.

A Good, Fun RPG
The Neverwinter Nights game series is one of my all time favorite, if not favorite, games. It's strength lies in it's diversity. This is not just one single player game nor is it just one multiplayer game. It can be about anything you want it to be. The game comes with one story to play through with many side quests. The game is massive, which is good and bad. Sometimes things seem to drag on, ...

Loads of Fun
I am having a great time playing this game. I play it almost all day. I like the fact you get to choose your own people to play. I get to arrange the different people to my best estimate of a challenging game.

Fun but with a few faults
This game is AWESOME when you first start playing it. The graphics and colors are excellent. It is alot of fun swordfighting, blasting cannons at ships, and many others. I wish there could of been a multiplayer feature built in to play with or against a buddy. I wish there wa smore to romancing the daughters also. I wish the top 10 pirates were a little more harder to catch as well. Once you find ...
Arcanum : Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura
Troika & Sierra
Amazon.com Review Most role-playing games are set in a fantasy world, and if they're not directly related to Dungeons & Dragons, they at least follow the blueprint of the D&D rules. Not so with Arcanum. Set in the world of steampunk--a genre of fiction that puts forth the idea that computers and other advanced technology existed back in the late 1800s--Arcanum's world is fantastic and instantly recognizable at the same time. The game begins with ...

Get the Diamond Edition instead
NWN is still a great game, thanks to the huge number of high-quality modules available for free on the Internet. I have never seen a computer RPG with as much replay value. Even the impending release of its sequel doesn't detract from it much. After all, it will take quite a while before NWN2 has anything close to the amount of free content available as NWN does. But why would anybody ...

RPG geeks only
If you are looking for a good RPG experience, then I would reccomend World of Warcraft instead. This game is fun, but is has the 'raw' feeling of an easily hackable game. This is because they include the developement package that they themselves used to create the the game. That's not only bad, though. It's also fun to create your own story and share it online with other NWN players. Great ...
Neverwinter Nights: Shadow of Undrentide Expansion Pack

Great Expansion!
The Shadows of Undrentide is the first expansion for Neverwinter Nights. It adds new spells, monsters, tile sets, prestige classes, and skills and feats, all of which enrich the Neverwinter Nights experience. The campaign that comes with this expansion is by far much better than the original Neverwinter Nights. The story has nothing to do with the one in the first game, other than a brief mention ...

Quite a deal
I saw this game for $5 in the store and bought it without a second thought. For 14 games, you are paying about 35 cents per game. I owned an original copy of _Eye_of_the_Beholder_ way back when, and found a catalog from 1991 in the box. The catalog contained 5 of the games on this disk, each selling for $50. It's almost sad that games like these can depreciate in value so much -- but at the same ...

Flight simulation
I was skeptical at first when deciding to purchase IL2 forgotten Battles for my PC. However now I agree that this game far exceeds my expectations! Compared to my other sims by Microsoft, IL2 is far more superior in grafics, realism and overall enjoyment. Am looking foward to playing next version of this game or something as comparable. I will continue to search Amazon for new games of this ...

The Golden Age of 1-Player RGS
For those having problems getting many of these games to work on modern computers-- Go to Google or Yahoo and do a search for two things- DosBox and D-Fend. They're both freeware. Many of these games won't run properly on modern computers but that's where DosBox comes into play. It's a program that pretends it's an old DOS machine and exists only to run other programs (old games like these). ...

ANOTHER BOTCHED SEQUEL's EXPANSION...
When the original game is a groundbreaking masterpiece, its sequel rarely lives up to the unavoidable hype. There are notable exceptions of course (BALDUR's GATE II and MAX PAYNE II spring to mind). However, NEVER had I been so DISAPPOINTED with a sequel more than DUNGEON SIEGE II! Following the innovative and brilliant original DS, the anticipation was so great that minor flaws would be ...

One of the Greatest RPG games ever
This is probably the second best RPG game ever made, exceeded only by the follow on Installment, Shadows of Amn. It is an old game and but the graphics are still acceptable for the third person type format that is used. A strong story line, many side quests and battles that require thought rather than just brute force and numerous traps that make a thief essential in the party make up.
