Polar RS100 Heart Rate Monitor and Stopwatch46 reviews

Polar

Polar, 2006

My First Heart Rate Monitor
This is the first heart rate monitor I've ever purchased and it's extremely easy to use. All of the buttons are in the right places when you're running and the strap is pretty comfortable. Recommend this for anyone who cycles and runs like myself. The display is big enough to see if you want to glance at it quick on the run and the backlight works great for running at night.

Solid & Dependable Heart Rate Monitor
Overall, I'm very happy happy with the Timex T5J031. I've had this heart rate monitor for over a month now and have used it consistently (4 days/wk) since. The set up was very easy and using it is simple as well. The controls are well laid out, in the past I've hit the wrong button with other heart rate monitors I've used. It consistently picks up the signal from the heart rate strap and ...

simple and easy to read.
I'm at that middle age (eyes can't see up close) part of my life, and have had heart monitors that show many wonder items (that you don't want or need) and that you can't see. This is different. You can see (big numbers) the time. Push one button, and see your heart rate (also big) Don't know how long it's going to last, but, at $35, why would one worry?

Easy, accurate, and fun.
I bought four of these to use in a college biology course that I teach. Students strap on the heart monitor and then do exercise and other activities to study how various physical activities affect heart rate. Of course, I had to test one of them on myself to see how it worked. The chest strap is an elastic loop that you put on under your shirt. It must be in contact with skin, and the surface of ...

Women's Heart Rate Monitor
I love my heart rate monitor. It took the guess work out of my work out. It also gives lots of other information that I like to know, like calories burned and it keeps a file of all your work-outs and the length of the work out. It is also a watch and has an alarm and some features I'm not even utilizing yet because I'm still learning about it. In any case a useful tool in a work out and it's ...

Timex Heart Rate Monitor
This heart rate monitor is great. Especially for the price. The watch itself is not big and bulky, but the display is easy to read even during a workout. The chest strap is comfortable and you hardly notice you are wearing during a training session. The information that this unit provides is perfect. Constant heart rate, timer, clock, then when you are finished, there is a nice review. ...

Everything I wanted
I currently teach spinning and work out a few times a week. This HRM was everything I wanted and even more. The menu navigating is user friendly and I love that it gives options for different heart rate zones. I also love having the ability to look up past workouts and review max/avg heart rate and calories burned. The soft chest strap is great, I usually forget that I'm still wearing it. ...

Exactly what I wanted
Does exactly what I was looking for. Records heart rate, time, laps, etc. Has the option to expand to pace or gps, but isn't as expensive as some of the other higher end models. I've been able to figure out the screens and the setup without issue.

Does the job
This watch does exactly what I want, which is to give me an accurate heart rate reading during exercise. It works better than my old watch in a couple of ways. I can take a reading while still moderately active--with my old watch I had to stop completely. It also takes the reading much faster, so my heart rate isn't declining while I wait for the reading. The strap is nice and flexible ...

e-pulse heart rate monitor is a great basic strapless device
As a new technology at $90, I carefully read all the reviews to date, and even with all the grips I decided to purchase it. The medical dude who said that he put it on, pushed the button and it worked, and match up to his other equipment was the one that sold me. I would like to add my 2 cents on the complaints that I read: 1) it is uncomfortable or the batteries are too heavy: maybe a bit ...

Great product!
I searched around in stores and online for a heartrate monitor. I am starting in getting healthy and fit and it was important that I track my heart rate as well as calories expended when working out as I find the machines to be extremely inaccurate. I finally settled on this product because I was able to track my workouts and save them for at least a week. It took a moment to figure out how to ...

Outstanding Addition
I bought this inexpensive HRM to assist with my workouts in running and cycling. It provides me with the needed data to ensure I am preforming at my peak. I have not had any issues with this product, you only have to read and understand the instructions. It did take me a minute to figure out how to turn off the beeping when you are not in your zone, but now that that is over it is the perfect ...

310XT for cycling and running!
A great product from Garmin! I use it for running and cycling (with cadence/speed sensor). It doesn't fail me at all! I particularly like the ANT+ agent which able to transfer data easily to my computer and garmin connect! I wish it could also function as normal watch so I don't have to wear another watch.... anyway, it's still the best sport computer that I ever use!

great basic heart rate monitor
I bought this product because my previous heart rate monitor watch battery died and I saw no way of replacing it. This watch/strap combo costs 1/2 as much as my old model polar and does the same thing. As a bonus the watch display is quite large and easy to read while running/exercising. The older more expensive polar watch had more features, which I never used, but the display was small and in a ...

Buries Polar on Price / Performance / Functionality
This review is for the latest version of this watch (purchased Feb. 2010). Apparently this is the 2nd generation of the watch, which is much improved over the 1st gen, which got deservedly poor reviews. I've had the watch for just under a week, but it appears to bury anything Polar has at a similar price point. The Timex beats polar on: - Good, easy to use backlight - Easy to configure ...
