Mine did not break on rocky hikes
Mine stayed strong for crossing streams or hiking on rocky trails, especially at Mount Osceola Trail in New Hampshire while it was very slippery with snow and icy water. I got my 2 poles as a set and was free with purchase of Mountainsmith Women's Laurel Backpack. I used only one pole at a time because I wanted one hand free and often switch pole from one hand to another. Though I relied on only ...

Required Accessory For Fanny Packs
I do not know why Mountainsmith does not include these with ALL fannypacks (yes I do, since they charge 30 bucks for them)! This turns any fannypack into a useful day pack, much better than the included shoulder strap. These are comfortable, quality made straps that snap into the top of the Mountainsmith brand fanny packs.

Very Nice
I'm a very picky shopper. I spent quite some time looking at various sling packs before deciding on this one. I used it for a week of hiking in Colorado but wanted something that could be used while traveling in the city also. The only complaint I have is that the water bottle holder is quite difficult to use while wearing the pack. If you are able to get your drink out, good luck getting it back ...

got it in red, but it's 'green'!
Had a hard time deciding between the Tour or the Day (which is larger), but the Tour is perfect for my needs of simple urban treks to and through local parks or fishing on the pier. This pack is simply fabulous. The material is heavy duty and looks like it will hold up. The fit, finish, stitching, buckles, straps, and padding are top notch. Bright yellow inside for visibility. Small zippered ...

Sturday Backpack
my last backpack fell apart after 3 trips, so I was looking for a sturdy backpack with a strong material, well Cuscus (never heard of it before) is very sturdy and the meterial is heavy duty, hip support is great! it's twice the size of my old one. I've taken it to 5 trips and still looks brand new! I love it!

best backpack I've ever used
The Mountainsmith Market St. Urban Pack fits me perfectly. I'm the kind of person who, when he has a backpack, loads it down with all sorts of things -- be prepared for anything, right? When that happens, though, backpacks become unwieldy and cumbersome because of their design (ie- the big opening, the middle opening and the smallest opening jut out way too far when they're full, thus they ...

Mountainsmith Rain Cover for a Mountainsmith Pack
As suggested by Mountainsmith, for example if you get a pack around 70 liters you would want a rain cover that is a large. I've got the Mountainsmith Cross Country 3.0 and it fits just fine, keeps everything dry and has a great storage system and is light weight. What more do you need?

Awesome!!
I worked at a summer camp and this thing was so nice- it held a lot and wasn't as hot or cumbersome as a backpack. I actually have been too lazy to move my stuff out into a normal purse. If you can get past the fact that people think you're wearing a huge fannypack it's pretty amazing.

Runner? Hiker? Great dog backpack
I have a 90LB German Shepard who I run with 4-6 times a week and I was sick of carrying his water and other items. This backpack fits wonderfully on him and he (oddly) seems to enjoy it if you can believe this, the day I got it I pulled it out and told him to sit, he did so, and he allowed me to put it on him like any other harness, he didnt struggle or try to remove it in any way. He is ...

Just the right size
This bottle holder pack has a comfortable padded belt and just enough of a pocket to hold your cell, lip balm and tissues, and there is a couple of spots to hook keys. Ideal for short walks/hikes where one bottle of water is sufficient and all you need to carry are a couple of small essentials.

Can't get a better pole for the price.
The poles worked great and I had no problems with comfort or the sections slipping. I hear that Mountain Hardware has excellent customer service if you do get a bad pair. The cork handles are durable and comfortable and the anti-shock system works but I could certainly live without them and save the weight. If you are looking to save money or are buying your first pair this is the way to go to ...

roomier than you think
this is a great bag. i use it for transporting books and papers to and from the office. anything smaller wouldnt work, and anything bigger would be too cumbersome. it doubles as a good bag to bring on trips. the water bottle holders on either side, and multiple compartments make it perfect for everyday and travel. its durable as well. the shoulder strap takes a little getting used to, but i cant ...

Great poles, great price
These seem to good quality trekking poles, I like the rubber stopper you can attach to the tips so the ends aren't necessarily always pointy when on different surfaces. They also collapse nicely for carrying. I guess my only gripe is that the poles are a metallic red, which is a little flashy for the great outdoors. Also makes them look cheaper than they are.

Good Carry-all
I bought this for my digicam and was so surprised with the strength and durability I added it to my backpacking gear list. I've used it for binoculars, a GPS and for my mp3 player. Well made, thoughtfully designed and usefull for much more than cameras. Tip: Check the "interior" dimensions in the product description against any item you want to carry securely. They offer several sizes of this ...
