I've used this product for about 2 years and I've made a zillion cables. Since I've started using it, my failure/mis-wiring rate is probably 1 in 25 cables. With traditional crimpers, my failure/mis-wiring was more like 1 in 8. I disagree with the prior post because it implies that using this tool requires one to straighten out the ends of the wire. Great Crimper
I've used the crimper a couple of times so far, but anticipate using it often with my outdoor woodstove business. It's by far the best crimper I could find for the price. 4 size crimp dies are included, with gauge and spare parts. On top of it all, it comes packaged in a very nice case. Highly recomended tool.

I used this tool to replumb 80% of my house. It was easy to use, requiring light to moderate effort to achieve perfect results every time. I usually started the crimp with two hands, since the handles were farther apart, but I could finish with one hand as the clamp cinched down. This tool makes downspout work much much easier and faster than trying to use plyers. There are no instructions and it's not obvious where to make the crimp or how to position the tool. I found that using it on the 4 corners of the downspout and with the side with the larger number of blades facing outward worked best.
