Great little saw for small jobs
I have a full power, corded Milwaukee Sawzall reciprocating saw, but it's just too big, too heavy, and too corded for the smaller jobs. The VPX saw isn't a threat to a Sawzall. It can only handle small jobs. It'll choke up on a wet 2x4 or -- horrors -- a 2x4 with a nail in it. So don't use it for that. Instead, it's great for cutting a small section of PVC or copper pipe. Cuts drywall and molding like a champ!
My dad gave one of these saws to me for Christmas 2007. I agree it will not cut hardwoods or 2x4s, but it is great for trimming drywall and trim molding. I can cut holes for electrical outlets or ceiling light fixtures in less than 30 seconds.
