Looks great
If you want a nice little desk lamp that puts out decent light for reading or writing but not illuminating the whole room then this is for you. Sturdy base and construction. Design makes it nice to hang jewelry from. Only complaint is that the on/off is on the cord. It'd be nicer if it was on the lamp area somehow but its not too annoying.

What a deal!!!!!!
I got a pair of these lamps here at Amazon for 45 bucks, free shipping and they are absolutely gorgeous. Sleek wonderful design and the wood bases, unlike the previous reviewer's unfortunate purchase, are identical in color and finish. I notice the price has gone up, and even at 80 something dollars they are still something of a steal.
