I've purchased two of these now. They both work as advertised, shutting down peripheral equipment when the main unit is switched off. Works with computer systems and entertainment systems with no problems.

Brilliant!
I bought and returned two APC versions of this outlet, since their shutoff sensor could not be adjusted. The Smart Strip overcomes this with a potentiometer dial and simple instructions. Note: The adjustment still does not work with very low amperage devices plugged into the master outlet (e.g., small cable box).

Absolutely amazing product......
I just took it out the box, plugged my devices in the respective outlets and it worked wonderfully! Now I'm just going to have to wait until my next electricity bill to see if I am saving some money.

Large but Easily Setup
The smart strip is larger than I expected, but that is understandable with all the technology that is contained in this strip. It was very easy to setup and I just used another powerstrip plugged into one of the controlled outlets instead of buying the version of the smart strip that has more outlets. I wasn't able to get it to work with my AT&T U-Verse DVR, but just set it up to use my TV as ...
