yup, when you press it on paper, it makes lines!
let me just start off by saying, this is some quality lead. i dont know. as an artist i like using it for a lot of the smaller details in my drawings. but its 0.3mm lead, and if you press too hard it can break pretty easily. ive never used it for writing anything, just for drawing, but if you can draw with it, you can probly write with it id assume.

Best pencil lead!
Unlike HB and harder, you can actually see what you write with this lead, and it is almost effortless to put a line down on paper. Higher hardness requires too much pressure and makes writing a pain. I have two other brands of telescoping tubes that lock into place. My fear with this product is that my posters might get crushed because it does not lock into place. Other than that concern, this is a nice product.
