Lamaze Mortimer the Moose

Mortimer is Perfect!
When my grandson was three months old, my daughter said he had really started to be aware of some of his "toys." Time to do some shopping! I read the reviews and description of Mortimer the Moose and purchased TWO; we have another baby in our circle due soon, need to "stock up." Mortimer and his twin arrived and I couldn't have been more pleased. Mortimer's bright colors, varied textures and ...

great toy to grow into
I purchased this for my 3 1/2 yr. old Grandson. I had researched about 10 cash registars. This is very durable and easy to use. Right now he can't use any of the adding, subtracting, mult, and dividing features but he will certainly grow into them. He uses it all the time. I like that it requires no batteries. It's fun for me to be able to "play" store with a more grown-up machine. Amazon had it ...

Fun way to learn sight words!
Let's face it, Sight Words are incredibly important to your child and his or her development. Any way to make it fun, I am all for! I use to make sight words cards and have them around the house, but this game just helped make it more of a bit less like learning and a bit more like fun! We incorporated an air popped popcorn party into our games when so many sight words were learned. It added a ...

Fun and educational toy. Earlier my daughter is poor in differentiating the quarters and nickels. Now she mastered that skill after playing this game. Must buy for all kids .

It is what it seems to be
This is a great idea. I got it for my 8-year-old grand-daughter, hoping it would spark her interest. I expected to get her a microscope if she expressed interest, but she never did. So I would give it 5 stars, my grand-daughter would express indifference.

Awesome toy esp. when you tape the "money"
We first bought the "Zillions" cash register for our 4-year-old son, but we returned it right away because of its poor quality. This "Learning Resources Teaching" register is awesome! The size and materials are good, and it has great features. The electronic voice can't be turned off, but the volume can be controlled, and the voice is not annoying. I advise purchasers, upon receiving the ...

not fun to set up, but works wonders
We use this to keep our four-year-old on task when eating. After having her draw out meals for hours, we thought maybe a visual timer might help her stay focused on the task at hand. The timer comes with a 30-minute program set into its memory, but if you want to program your own individual countdown, get ready to push a lot of buttons. It was a pain to set up, as several reviewers have noted. ...

Perfect toy for a little camper
I was looking for some toy camping gear to go with a tent I got my 5 year old grandson. This camping gear was perfect and he was very excited with all the equipment. Lantern was the biggest hit. His 2 year old twin brothers really enjoyed it too. Glad I got them.

Learning in the first game
I made my kids say the addition problem out loud and then told them the answer. I found in the first and second game they were coming up with the sums themselves. I guess they remembered the answer from the last time the dice rule the same addition or subtraction problem. They don't want to play every day but the effortless math practice is worth every penny to me.

VERY HARD TO WIND IT UP!
I bought this toy for my 3-year-old granddaughter who loves tools. This tape measure is big and the quality is great. The problem is that she cannot wind it back in because it is hard to turn. I even have to use a bit of strength to wind it in. So, she gets very frustrated with it.

Great Game!
My daughter and her friend love playing this game. They beg to play it over and over. They are both in the first grade, and this game has made all of the difference in the world. They have so much fun they don't even realize they are learning!

Great toy!
We bought this set for our 6-year-old son, whose current obsession is everything having to do with Space. The planets look really cool all hung on the ceiling; we tied the attached string to pushpins that we stuck in the ceiling, except the Sun was too heavy so we had to get a little hook that screwed into the ceiling to hang it on instead. The only downside is that the moon and Mars do not ...

Saves so much time!
I teach third grade, and have several students who were doing homework, but losing it before it got turned in... I have a pocket now for each, and they turn everything in (along with a student agenda signed by a parent) every morning. It's incredibly convenient! I can see if mom or dad signed, grab the papers, and sort them for correcting into pockets (at the top, where the third graders can't ...

Realistic, lightweight and fun
My 15 month old loves these. They are lightweight (since they are not wood), so no owies when he bops his friends or siblings in the head with the apple. They are very realistic and a good quality. The plastic is sturdy and does not dent. The basket is well made, the handles do not pop off.

Playing school
My daughter received this at Christmas and loves it! One of her favorite things to do is play school and this playset fits the bill. It has everything a "pretend" teacher needs. I love that when she is done playing, it just folds up and is easy to store. I would recommend this to anyone who has a child who loves playing school.

Great education and fun toy
I bought this for my 2 year old niece for her birthday. She loved it! She had recently learned to say "cupcake" so it made it even more interesting for her. She was having trouble with recognizing shapes, so this was a good education gift that she enjoyed. It was also great for hand-eye coordination since she has to line up the shapes in the top and bottom.

Very happy
This is a great toy. I bought it for my 2 year old child that loves technical things. Toys usually bore him. We build it together, and then he has a blast making the pieces go round and round. I recommend it for any child that is bored by normal 2 year old toys.

Toddlers love this!
My husband and I bought this for our niece and nephew who are age 2 yrs 8 months and 1 year four months. They love to play with this together. The older one will place the ice cream caps in a row for the younger one to stack. Then he claps his hands and says, "Again!" She un-stacks them and puts them in a row. They played this over and over together. My sister (their mother) tells me it is a ...
