Karma Einhorn, Kama Einhorn

Teaching Resources, 2002

Awesome Learning tool
I combined this book with Cursive Writing Made Fun & Easy by Kama Einhorn for my 7 year old son. He does really well. We do 2 pages from the the other book and then one page of review from this book and so on. This book can stand alone for anyone who needs more practice. I wouldn't recommend it for teaching unless it's in addition to her other book, but it is a great review and drill ...

100 Write-And-Learn Sight Word Practice Pages: Engaging Reproducible Activity Pages That Help Kids Recognize, ...7 reviews

Instructor Books, 2002

My daughter loves it
I was amazed to see the bad reviews. Is this workbook more fun than Nintendo? UMMM, no, it is a workbook. I use it to reinforce what we have been learning in other more visually stimulating books. Do look at the pages and notice that the student gets to cut out the letters of the word and paste them for one of the activities. She LOVES that and it gives her practice with her motor skills. ...

Teaching Writing Through Differentiated Instruction With Leveled Graphic Organiz: 50+ Reproducible, Leveled ...1 review
Mary C. McMackin, Nancy L. Witherell

Teaching Strategies, 2005

Good Investment
I have used this book for two years with my fourth grade class. It provides three different levels of organizers, and is easy to use. The examples they provide are useful, but tend to be for older students. If you are having difficulty getting a writing program off the ground for your students, this may be the place to start.

Independent Reading Management Kit: Literary Elements: Reproducible, Skill-Building Packs-One for Each ...1 review
Michele L. McCaughtry

Teaching Resources, 2006

independent reading
this item was definetly not what I thought it would be. It is helpful but it does not have that many reproducibles. That is what I needed. I am still trying to work it in my schedule, because the projects that are included are very difficult to complete in one period. I cant let the students work on projects for more than one period. It would not be effective.

A Must Have!
I teach 5th grade and use this all the time. The pages easily work with any genre you are teaching, whether it is biography, fiction, nonfiction, whatever. Another thing I like is the fact that there are some pages that integrate grammar into whatever story you are reading (like searching for verbs in the story.) This book is one that I use constantly.
