great for preschoolers
My daughter has been thrilled with this game. It works together well with the rhyme she's almost obsessed with. Takes a while for someone to win, but keeps the kids entertained the whole time. My daughter just laughs and laughs when the monkeys fall off the bed. Even her grandpa played this game with her and enjoyed it. The best thing is that it has very simple rules that she doesn't mind ...

Introducing animals and their sounds
I bought this book together with "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" a couple of days ago, and my 3y.o. kid loves them both. My son helps me read out loud and is learning complicated words like "boa constrictor". It's very simple and great for introducing new animals and new words (such as "roaring" or "hissing"), we have a lot of fun reading it together every day.

Buy this book in hardcover, not as a board book!
We got a couple of books in the Dinosaurs series as board books from my coworker, and overall my daughter (22 months at the time of this review) liked them, but the hardcovers are simply gorgeous with large, detailed and brilliant pictures. I got this book in the library, and Anna wanted to read it several times in a row (not to mention every night since then). I plan to assemble the whole series ...

Create an appreciation of books, early!
I saw this book in a shop while on vacation. Once home I ordered it for my grandson (18 mos) for part of his Christmas. I am always on the lookout for unique books for my grandchildren. Books with beautiful artwork, heartfelt stories, tactile pages, etc. This book starts a whole new genre in our "library"--animation!

My daughter's favourite book
We didn't have Dr. Seuss where I grew up so I don't have any misplaced emotional attachment to the "original"; for my daughter this will be the original. I love this little book and so does my daughter. When we start reading it she jumps up and down and laughs and claps her hands, we make it interactive with toys like a stuffed pig and a clown doll, yawning for night time, juggling on the "well ...

Laugh & Learn Storybook
This is a gift for my granddaughter but I of course had to sit and play with it. It is adorable...colorful, lots of things to entertain and learn with. Hopefully the company will make more of them. This should keep a small one entertained for quite a while..and they will learn while they are playing.

A great book for little people!!
This book was a gift from family, for our baby daughter. We started reading it to her at around 12 months. She LOVES this book. She is actually a very curious girl now at 18 months, and will grab books all evening long for me to read to her. Your little ones will be able to identify the different animals and even the colors soon after reading this book. It has a nice pentameter, thats just ...

Great for babies
My son loved this toy as a baby (he got it at just a few months old). The music isn't too bad, and he liked the lights. He stopped playing with it, however, a bit after he turned a year old. By then, we had gotten plenty of use out of it, so I don't feel it was a waste of money. The sound quality does seem to deteriorate with time and the spin button sticks after a lot of use. I would ...

Win-Win Proposition
I have given Sheep books to almost all of the children that I have known since I first happened across the book. Not only do they like it, but it is amusing to the reader, as well. This is truly classic literature.

Delightful
This is a delight for kids and adults. It's fun to read out loud, with goofy creature names like yottle, nooth grush and quimney. I've read it many times to my two kids without getting tired of it. The artwork is fun and playful. What else would you expect from Dr. Seuss?

Kids love it.
My 17 month old son loves this book. Today when I went to pick him up from day care, he was holding this book, sat down and started "reading" it. He shook his finger in the air and said "no no monkey bed." All the other kids in the class saw what he was doing and they too (other 17 month olds) started shaking their fingers in the air saying "no no" and tapping their heads (for "bumped his ...

Love it!
This is a wonderful bedtime story for young ones. The illustrations are nice and the pages are nice and sturdy. Only very minor complaint is a couple pages have gold writing on a dark blue background and it can be a little hard to read unless the lights are on. But soon enough you will have the book memorized and it won't matter...a very cute and catchy nighttime story and certainly a keeper! ...

Absolutely Wonderful
My 2-yr-old is so in love with this book. She is fascinated by the simple story and also by the great illustrations. It is one of her must-read bedtime books. It is indeed a "feeling good book", however I think it is only appropriate for children under 4-yrs.

Lovely to sing to your baby
My daughter loved this book as a baby. We had it out of the library so many times, I bought it when she was 10 months old. Her 3 year old brother and I both learnt it by heart from singing it to her every night. She still really likes it at 21 months old, though now we don't read it every night. I love the illustrations that show the real movement of the baby up and down, round and round, and of ...
