LeapFrog® Tag Reading System33 reviews

Wonderful tool for 5-year-old while parent is working on homework with older sibling
Wonderful product. Would purchase again in a heartbeat. In the last paragraph I discuss this product's only minus. My 5-year-old calls Tag "superfun". I love that when I work with my older child doing homework my kindgartner can quietly work right beside us thanks to the headphone jack. Not only does it "read" the book, it also makes interactive sounds when any picture on the page is ...

Grandson loves it!
I purchased this kit for my grandson's 9th birthday. It has to be kept up high and away from his little brother. The giftee gets it down and does an experiment or two, puts away the pieces, and voluntarily returns it to safety. I am impressed by the progression of difficulty and skill level in the books of experiments. He is learning about electricity and enjoying it too!

The whole family loves it!
My 6 yr old son got this as a gift, and although I was skeptical at first, I have now eaten my words. It is a breeze to set up, and once you do, the view is great! My son looked at the carpet, and it was really clear and looked like a microscope. We also looked at his hair, my husbands hands, paper, chicken etc. We went crazy! Anyone that even slightly enjoys science will love this toy.

Ethans review
I have a leapster, and I like it. It's green, and it's got lotsa games inside it, and you can put more in the top of it. I got the doggie game, the one where you wash and pet your dog, and I like it alot, and I got the one where you make creatures, and make rooms for them to live in. I have a case, and you always have to make sure when you go somewhere, you have the game inside 'cause if you get ...

Star Wars Clone Wars Ultimate Light Saber
I bought three of these light sabers for my grandsons. Each and every one of them loved it. My grandson Zach, who has two sisters, asked if I could buy the saber for his dad so that they could play together. Awesome toy - and so neat with all its different colors. Arlene

Animation is the best media to convey Star Wars saga!
I have been a fan of the Star Wars Saga since the very beginning. I have loved all the popular movie characters just like every other big fan and had no interest in seeing the cartoon (really!). I went to see the movie only because my kids wanted to see it (and they are too young to go by themselves!). Despite myself, I was really impressed. It was pretty awesome which is saying something when ...

Imaginative and Amazing Illustrations
The illustrations in this book really caught my eye. My favorite one was when all the wild things were howling at the moon. I enjoyed how the text stretches over a few pages and keeps the reader interested.

Great for your 6-7 year old, and UP!
Set is about pattern-making, but the patterns touch 4 different categories: shape, color, number and shade. My 7 year-old learned the rules in a few minutes, and we were quickly playing. It's an enjoyable, addictive game, but also requiring concentration and focus to succeed. I highly recommend for the game-oriented family with kids 6+.

Awesome SW Clone Trooper voice changer!
Birthday gift for my 8 yr old grandson. Big hit, easy to assemble, adjustable to fit any sz head, voice activated by pressing button. Everyone had to try it on and be the Storm trooper. I would purchase for a gift on Amazon.com again most stores are sold out. Easy quick shipment and we live in Hawaii.

definitely better than most "lab kits"
My son got this kit for his 10th birthday six months ago. Both of his folks are electricians, so he naturally has a lot of curiosity. It's seen hours of use, by a bunch of boys ages 8 to 10. On the down side, one of the pegs on the board has snapped off (doesn't affect performance), and the speaker has been a bit troublesome (sometimes loud enough, sometimes too quiet). On the up side, the ...

Melissa and Doug See & Spell41 reviews

Melissa and Doug

Melissa and Doug, 2006

great product
This is a great way to learn to read, by individually placing the letter in the correct spot. I'm using it with my 4 year old as it is, and also to help him sound out more difficult words in books. When he's stumped, I just get out the letters and place them on the table. He starts with the first sound and on through the word until he's figured it out. A great educational tool.

Active Play & Learning
This cash register has been great. It was originally a gift my daughter received but my 4 year old son uses it constantly. They play 'restaurant' and 'store' for hours, taking each others orders and asking, "is there anything I can help you with?" It is awesome, we all get to have fun with their pretend store. (I'm really glad I didn't eat all the stuff I have ordered from them over the ...

an extraordinary experience
There is nothing more extraordinary than the experience of taking care of "a life" & setting it free. My 5-year-old has learned something quite valuable through this toy, which is well made. We'll be able to use it again for several more summers. Also, of the 10 caterpillars we received, 9 became butterflies and flew away, while 2 returned to our garden and lingered for a day. We even had a ...

Great Product!
If you buy the Tag system, I recommend getting this case, it's got a spot for everything you need and holds a lot of the books, so everything is in one place. A huge help! And it protects all the books and pens very well.

Manage your expectations, but this is a blast.
If they would have had this thing when I was a kid (a few decades back), I would have gone crazy with it. It is a TOY, not a real scientific instrument, but it's the kind of toy that can good and truly make a kid fall in love with science. It turns the world into a puzzle--What would that thing look like if I were the size of an ant? It offers the ability to capture and share images, and ...

Melissa & Doug Alphabet Train Floor Puzzle37 reviews

Melissa and Doug

Melissa and Doug, 2006

Excellent for letter recognition (the ABC song is not just a song)
This puzzle is a great beginning puzzle for a young pre-schooler. We bought this puzzle for our 3 year old. It is challenging for her as well as entertaining. I rated this puzzle 5 stars, but if 4.75 stars were an option, that would be a more accurate rating. It is not flawless - the main problem is that Melissa and Doug illustrated "X" with a fox, which obviously does not start with X. ...
